So I bought a new 2022 Panegale V2 last year there is currently only 918 miles on it. I moved to Boston where there is only one certified Ducati dealer/shop. I brought the bike into the dealer (that I will not name because this might not be their fault)f or the 500 mile maintenance as recommended. I only drove it a few more days after that because winter had come. This week I decided to pull it out of storage from my garage. The battery died after the first day of riding so I jump started it but blew the 30 amp fuse in the process. I replaced the 30 amp and took it for a ride the engine and oil light turned on and the bike quit. I proceeded to buy oil and fill it up with 3 quarts of SAE 15w-50 to get it back home the oil was bone dry. I don’t know how I could have lost that much oil between the 500 mile mark and 918 miles that are currently on it. Did the dealer forget to refill? On top of this on my way home the bike threw a DTC error and the front head light started to flicker violently, then the bike shut off agian. I made it home but I have no idea how to fix this or prove that something wrong was done to the bike. Please help Ducati forum.

How long did you wait from when the engine was turned off until you checked the level?

Do you have the means to check the error code(s) the bike logged?

has an after market exhaust been fitted? Sometimes the error code displayed doesn't go with what the error is...for example if the O2 lambda connectors have been accidentally earthed out it can melt through the wiring somewhere on the loom to the BBS etc and cause a short. depending on what it shorts or melts to can throw a spurious error code........just saying.

The oil-checking procedure for Ducatis is not the same for all models and can be tricky to get correct. If you were really 3 quarts short of oil, then you may have some big problems. Since you added oil, you may not be able to prove how low it was or that it was the dealer's fault (the bike isn't going to burn that much oil). Also, not a good idea to jump-start these modern bikes. The electronics do not like it and are very $$$$. I suggest swapping or charging the battery or bump-starting the bike rather than jump-starting. It sounds like you have two different issues (oil/motor and electronics). Good luck and let us know what you find.

The headlight flicker is the battery I had the same issue, the dealer stole my Lithium battery and replaced it with an old acid. I didn't realise until I installed some Sanco pipes on my bike and notice my lithium battery was missing. I didn't want to spend a £100+ so I put a new acid battery in and the flickering stopped but now I a dtc and abs error on my dash and the engine light is on now.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong I have a dtc error and check eng light on currently and the bike won't start. Any tips or help you have would be great
