Ducati 1199S Headlight conversation wiring question

Hey,

I am about to do the 1199S LED headlight conversation to my base model, i just have a question regarding the wiring.

I am using the following wiring diagram (i believe a forum member made)

My question is regarding the relays wiring
1] Yellow/Gray (relay) to Yellow (headlight)
2] Yellow/White (relay) to Green (headlight)
3] White (relay - same side as the Yellow/White) to Red (headlight)

Am i correct in assuming that the relays are no longer needed for the LED headlights?

As i would like to clean up the headlight wiring hardness and if they are not needed any more i will remove them

Relays are not needed anymore. You can look up my thread for photos and how-to in case you need help with the specific wires. I didn't ditch the relays though. I just tucked it all above the headlights.

i am going to try and remove all the wiring that isn't needed, having alook at the bike now, looks like there will be alot of cutting for that i see how it goes might just tuck it all in too

Make sure to test the connections before finalizing it and putting everything back together. Also, don't forget to transfer the air sensor from the base headlight to the led. Otherwise you'll get a check engine light.

Did the swap today, ended up going and buying an AMP SuperSeal connector and removed all the unnecessary wiring. Pretty happy with the way it turned out!

Now can't wait to test them out a night to see the difference
