you secret wsbk stars need to write a letter to Gigi with your complaints or move to a better manufacturer for your "platform" so you can showcase your amazing skills having outridden this Ducati scene

No complaints from me. I think the only Ducati I might be able to outride is a Cucciolo, and maybe not even that. ;)

Riding a halo Ducati allows me to be a superhero for a day, even if that means only being faster than a speeding grandma on a walker and only being able to leap over a tall beer can in a single bound. ;)

Yep, there is a member here that has a MM sstk Kit that has been quite a project. The MM kit I got from BSD was plug an play and came with base map settings but you’re correct in that Wintax did run on an older windows platform. I like the aftermarket kits (MM,Motec) primary because of the complete segregated subsystems. I can use what I want and leave off what I don’t. In the case of my last build all I wanted was engine management. All the new Ducati electronic platforms are for sure awesome but way more than I want or need for what I’m doing and I can’t minimize it as it’s all integrated electronically and electrically. I’m currently using engine management, and QS function and running open loop (no O2) with pre defined maps. No rider aids. Super simple and very reliable.

Just turn the electronics off and you're good to go, pro tip though don't chop the throttle when sliding 🤣

Yep. We’re in garage 7. Stop by and say hey. :)

Were you one of the guys that came over and asked about the Tundra in front of your garage? A few of us were sitting in 9 shooting the .... and drinking.

It is you guys in 7, ASO in 8, Ruston in 9(where we were all gathered last evening and us in 10(Ducati Austin garage)
I'm not out there today, kinda glad as I saw some insta reels of rain at the track.

Wasn’t me. Didn’t hear anything about a tundra, but yeah we were in 7 with the tan taco.

Sorry I missed you Saturday. You going to RR fest?

Have you ever had a moment when you get it all wrong, but the bike makes everything right regardless?

I am very inseam challenged, lol.

To be fair, Karel Abraham told me that the grip from MotoGP tires is on an entirely different level than I'm used to. Quite the understatement. On another bike/tires, I'd likely have been on my ear.

Fabio would have been dragging a shoulder slider at that bike angle.

I take it you did the Ducati event for SL owners?

It wasn't intentional. If I hang off too much, my short arms "hook" the tank. Yes, a spot opened up a few days before WDW2022.

Sorry, I jacked your thread by posting in the wrong place. I'll try to rectify.

My thread is our thread. No worries my friend.

I'm just getting my track game going. After my first track day I realized the importance of body position. My street rides now are just to practice moving around on the bike without disturbing it too much.

My body position has never been one of my strengths. Training on the simulator before the MotoGP ride did help me be less crossed up on the bike. I'm not as limber (or thin lol) as I used to be, and stretching regularly is helping as well.

I really want a home version of that simulator...

I wish I could take my 185lb self from 9 years ago and do a track day. I once ran 12 miles because it was nice out on a day in November.

I would as well. I was told around $15k, you supply the bike.

I've been training hard to get to my 9-year ago weight, but I don't think I've ever run 12 miles in a single day. I can cycle it though... does that count? ;)
