Hi Virgil. What about Australia. I've been waiting nearly two months. You were going to send me a larger set after the originals were too small. I know the post is slow so perhaps delayed?

If i knew this sooner i would have send out another set way sooner. Sorry for the hussle

Something not bueno about shipping from EU to Oz , I too have waited two months and no spacers :(
But to Virgil's credit he sent another set which went missing too and then refunded my money without question, cheers mate.
Maybe Oz border security just throws anything from the Netherlands in the bin expecting it to be Skunk seeds or MDMA ....lol.

We've just got to roll with it. It's not just EU. I had a small package from Bellissimoto USA that sat in LA for a full month, then disappeared for another 2 weeks before arriving in Sydney. That came by USPS, all up 2 months to get here, but at least I could track it so knew it was coming.

The other thing is cost. Freight from EU is high. I bought Gilles rearsets from England because postage from Gilles in Germany was $400! From bike shop in England it was $50 (rearsets only slight price difference) - and arrived in 2 weeks.

And it's the same here. Recently I ordered some stuff from Melbourne. 2 weeks to get here! Should be 2 days. They say all things come to those who wait. Just as well - we don't really have much choice.

I know nobody doubt me really sending out the packages, so I did again. Please check your inbox for a picture of your package. Hope this one comes through!

Yeah it really sucks. But we will keep trying. I do have to say I have send over a 20 sets to Australia without any problems. I think its a problem from like the past few months. Maybe they will come trough eventually, you guys will have like 3 sets each haha.

I was in search of the file but before I even knew phl got those files, i designed them myself. So no i dont use his files

I think @Phl should be paid for his file if used commercially.

i don't care.

i have printed 50 of those spacers and shipped them for free (shipping only) and sent over 100 emails with the file.

(but everyone has to assume their own liability, since they're "for display purposes only" or to hang up on your earrings. just like the ti-bolts and the pipes.)

cheers

Hi Virgil,
The larger sized spacers arrived today and I've installed them. Thanks for sending 2 pairs - I needed them as it turned out. Looking at them they appear identical in size to the first set - but I think we are talking only one tenth of a millimetre difference? So pretty hard to see. New larger ones above, old medium below. Narrow spacers on the left, wider ones on the right. If anything the old wide spacer looks bigger.

Anyway they went on (with a smear of lithium grease) but only about 3/4 of the way. The narrow spacer split when I tried to push it all the way on, just like last time, so I used the second one and didn't force it. This leaves pretty much no clearance against the wall of the throttle housing, it fits but only just. The throttle does drag a tiny bit. I'll see how it goes.

like i said in a previously thread. They might sound great but throttle control is a skill and it’s there for a reason. Every master certified Ducati tech i have met says they cause big probs. I tried them on the track. Super dangerous.

My texh has even seen a few bikes bought back because of the problems they cause. There was nothing wrong with the bikes. They screw up the parameters in the ecu and the bike gets confused. Sometimes the quick shifters don't work right and they usually always have a hard time starting. I've contacted the guy who makes them and requested he modify the design. He got really mad and blocked me.

Guys. Don’t do it. I prefer the slack, especially on the track., If you must do it, The CNC throttle tube is a better option. It won’t screw with the ride by wire and quick shifter over time like spacers do. Better, smarter option. But on the track i like the slack. It’s there for a reason

I like the slack on the street too. It makes for a less jerky experience over sloppy pavement.

On the track I was focused on so many other things I couldn't tell you if the throttle had any slop or not.

exactly- and on the track, when you are mid corner and need to be off the throttle completely (not all corners) a sudden throttle jerk can be problematic. Another reason why it’s there.

Years ago when this was all the rage my position was that its a stupid idea. It's misguided thinking that no slack is better, and once you have spacers you get confirmation bias. Ducati could build a throttle with no slack in a heartbeat.

you guys should all ride your ride and do what you want to do. All I am saying is that every certified Ducati mechanic I have spoken to, says these things create more problems in the long term......And myself, as a 100% track rider....I like the slack.... Throttle control in slow corners is super important.
