Hi all,

Are there sound V4 rumors at the time?

I'm considering a 1299 base or S but would hate it if the V4 came just months later.

For those who might think it is silly to listen to rumors or to ask people on the internet about advice, please set up a separate post for that purpose and let this post be about V4 rumors and whether or not to wait for the V4.

Thanks
Rex

Well I am not sure about the stories, but having a 1299 with almost zero km and 1 year up the road and now also having some issues you may want to hang on a bit before having a Ducati V4. Let it mature a bit and see what .... pops up in the first few months

Sorry but what are you asking for, to comment on whether there is a V4 in the future or whether you should get a 1299.

it will be at least 2018 till this happens at the earliest and there are months and months of riding in between, i would prefer to have a bike and ride it rather than wait for something that may or may not happen.

I agree with you totally that it's worth having a bike that you (I) can ride. Right now, I have a 959 in witer storage that I've had since September, traded in from an Xdiavel that i rode since April and put 15,000 km on.

What makes you think it won't be until 2018 until they launch the V4?

Thanks
Rex

Sorry to hear about your issues. I hope they will be resolved for you quickly.

I don't know if it will be 2018 but i do know these rumors have been swirling around since the 999 days.

A V4 is going to change the brand, perhaps they do what they did with the D16 and make 1500 so they can race it but i just don't see them changing their sportbikes to V4's.

My dealer have confirmed the V4,they have been testing this new bike for a long time.
Its coming winter -17. He also told me about SL1299 (early october) so i thrust him.

Is that your winter Zeinik?
And any other info?

I believe Fabio Taglioni was quoted as saying our motor cycles don't need any more cylinders than a woman has ......s. Beside they made a v4 they called it Desmosedici.

i believe in total recall there was a 3 cylindeder model hahaha:D

Would someone be so kind as to explain why a V4 Ducati is desirable? Pros and cons?

Guys have been talking about a v4 since this forum was created in 2011. Just buy a bike and ignore rumor.
