My question is how do you tune for ANY of these pipes, outside of the Akra option with upmap? There are zero mapping/ecu options out there that I'm aware of. (maybe the T800?)
I'll be waiting for a tuning option first..
The better question is why would you do anything but the Akra when the warranty support isn't there? The Akra is a no-brainer for me when I retain the factory warranty.

This is exactly why.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
You can buy a scrambler almost for the price of those akras. Its robbery.

the ONLY pipes I would put (and I did put) on a new (or under warranty) V4 is the Ducati engineered and designed specifically for that bike... and give you 226HP!!!
If you have an alternative that gives you improved performance, less weight and retains the warranty, I'm sure everyone would love to hear about it.

That's your opinion. Sounds like you should stick with the stock exhaust or take your chances of going with an exhaust and tune (if available) that will almost certainly void your warranty. That could be far more expensive in the long run.

I'm sure they would, which is why I mentioned I wouldn't be getting any of these pipes unless there is a tuner option available. Thus why I still have the stock exhaust on the bike. I'm also not interested in spending almost 7k (nearly 25% of the cost of the bike) on one component.
Once there is a solid tuning option, I will have no trouble swapping the exhaust out for something reasonably priced. Could care less about the warranty. Really nothing to worry about if you can tune it appropriately. Simple AFRs and some timing..
Your warranty is for 2 years, I'm not sure if thats a great reason as well. I know that if you spend 7k for an exhaust that you have to feel like you have to justify it (more likely to yourself more than us ) but, seriously, 3 of these systems buys you an entire new panigale.
I guess if you were racing for money and needed the extra power to win, itd make more sense.
For now, I am stock. I could afford it but I just cant due to principle.
The title of the thread says V4S, not V4R. The full Akra race kit cost me less than $5K (V4S). You're both saying $7K, which is what the V4R race kit goes for, and changes both of your calculations significantly (25% of an S and 1/3 of a new Panigale respectively).
I had the race kit installed before the bike was delivered. My R1M and S1000RR are bone stock. I will likely keep the V4S for a few years. I'll pick up the 2020 S1000RR (M package) in July/August, so one or both may get traded in/sold. I'm interested to see what Aprilia (and others) do for next year.
The M package is $3700, so I'm sure that's robbery too. For me the price of the carbon wheels nearly justifies the whole package. I got to throw a leg over the HP4 race Thursday night and talk to Nate Kern for awhile. It didn't even feel like a real bike. Insanely light, but it had very little fuel in the tank. It brought a stupid grin to this old man's face.

It's $5,300 on Ducati Omaha's site. Plus was quoted right around $1k for installation (it's almost a complete tear down to install.. I've seen it), which puts us up to roughly $6,300 then add 8% sales tax here ($424) and your up near the 7k range just like I said.
If you somehow only paid "less than 5k" you must have got a pretty sweet deal, but I bet they made up for it somewhere else.. either way the 7k is generally accurate.
As for the M package on the BMW, that is totally reasonable. You are getting carbon wheels in that package and it's competitively priced.
I've ridden the HP4 Race on several occasions (just rode it again last Tuesday @ COTA) and it is hands down the best bike I've ever ridden. Expensive, yes, but on a level that just blows anything else away. In the Dry 1 setting with the lights dancing, it is a F****** rocket ship. I can't even hardly keep it WoT in 6th gear without it lifting the front. My V4S doesn't come close to doing that. If you ever get the chance to toss a leg over one.. don't pass it up.

BTW.. the brakes are truly unreal. But I think EACH one of those calipers could get ya pretty close to an Akra.. [emoji16]You're killing me. I was happy just to sit on it and check the weight. I am extremely jealous. I know I'd love the acceleration, but I think I might love the brakes even more.

Austin racing gp3/titanium/laserEthedLogo/BLK endcap, hand down the best looking exhaust which I believe is why most buy after market cans to begin with, who needs more power/less weight that the akra system provides but a pro racer.
