Help Support Ducati Forum:

I recall wondering about those four studs in this forum not too long after the Pani was first released. Guys were moaning about "wheelie control" from the TC - they were thinking about how they couldn't do horn mono's, and all I could think about was the stress on those Four Nuts holding the front end on from a few hard front end drops. Especially the front two... Mine "should" have been checked at the 7,500 mile service a couple of K ago, but I think me and my torque wrench have a brief appointment sometime before Winter's end.

That's the way.

It's called preventative maintenance.
I think;)

That's the beauty of this forum.
We are able to use the torque specs which were kindly posted by one of our good members in order to get proactive on the issue:)

not that i have my tank off for the Termi install i think ill go back and check those screws also... New bike only 650 miles tho

do check 'm but apparantly it's a racing/tracking issue... :) buddy of mine checked before going to Spain and had to tighten them..

It may be possible to Tig weld a very small tab near the edge of the screw head, that's sticking out from the top.
Then it's just a matter of drilling the tab for the lock-tie wire.

It is 14mm from previous thread.

But updating post mine were about 1/4 to 1/2 turn loose and only has 5000kms on it. So I would say its critical to check these frame nuts.

I wouldn't be loctite these nuts as undoing them feels like your about to snap the thread if anything change to nylock nuts.
