exhaust and tuning question

Help Support Ducati Forum:

How did the dealer fit the slip-ons if they took the valve out?
The valve should surely stay in place otherwise the slips wont fit with the remaining plumbing:confused:

My valve is still in place, it just remains in the open position.

Cheers

Good point. The servo motor and cable are in the box with the stock parts, but the valve is still on the bike.

in my case i dont mine waiting 2 years to end my warranty to get akra
infact akra will help me keep my EXTENDED warranty

termi full or slip wont allow me to keep extended cause of the ECU Upmap

but saying that akra needs to come out
sumone buy it
show result
then i decide

Any slip on or 3rd party pipe is going to need some tuning to stop the bike loosing a bit of power as its mapped as standard for the cat in the standard pipe.

Taking the cat out of the system is going to make quite a change to back pressure and therefore mapping really needs to match that change.

You can do it without tuning but the bike is very likely to run worse.
