Cue is Hotels.com Captain...

The extended warranty depends on the mileage on the bike when you buy the warranty, hence it is cheaper when you just bought the bike new. Discounts happen a lot when you bike a new bike because of the premiums you pay, so again, discounts can be had there also.

I think the base extended warranty rate on our Ducs go up in 2000 mile increments, and of course more when you go from 3 year, 4 year etc.

I just bought a 3 year extended warranty for my 2013 R.

Thanks, i just read your post in the captain obvious voice...

common sense rule for extended warranties is 10% MAX

IF I was buying a new Panigale, I probably would buy an extended warranty as long as it was around the 10% MAX mark.

Warranty companies, and especially the mother companies (most in the carribean) that back them make as much money from the warranties as the manufacturers make from cars/motorcycles. (profit margins are crazy high)

Being a cheap-arse, I always buy pre-owned (1-2 years old) and only invest enough money ion a car/bike that I am willing to walk away from (in worst case).. We all have to remember, that these are just toys. Unless someone is able to write off the bike as a business expense, most of our toys lose value every morning we wake up- and I am not even talking about the black-hole of "modding".

"Buy what you can afford to repair/replace and NOT just "purchase"..

Same goes for electronics and other toys..

The negative of living by that motto is that it makes it almost impossible to "keep up with the jones's"..and in todays day and age, the "jones's" aren't just the neighbor down the street, its the hundreds of "friends" on FB, the fellow members on forums and everyone in between..

my 2 cents :)

Are you saying 10% of the price of the bike? If so, that is way too high. I want to make sure I'm understanding you. I've paid $350 for a Yamaha FJR warranty ($13,000 bike) and $500 for a Goldwing Warranty ($19,000 new), and $370 for a Kawasaki Concours ($15,000). I'm seeing them for $1000-1200 for my BMW 1600 ($26,000). The European bikes are certainly a lot higher than Japanese, I would expect a Ducati Panigale warranty for somewhere in the $1000 range as well, but I have not looked into it.

I purchased additional 2 year warranty over the 2 mfg warranty

Yup got one here too, but not for the wheels. If you plan on using your bikes a lot, then its real good to have IMO

Actually I bought a 5 year extended warranty mainly to make the resale value more appetizing, as I intend to put a lot of Kms on this bike, that means when I come to sell in 3 years time I will be competing with bikes for sale with 5,000kms on them instead of the 60,000 I will probably have on mine

Glad I bought it now, my water pump went at 33,000kms, total cost to replace and install $1000 cdn, covered by my extended warranty. I think I'm going to end up ahead with this warranty

I bought an RPM One extended warranty.

$600 for piece of mind was well worth it.

I think I'm going to buy one soon. I've had the bike 5 months, and instead of being the garage queen it was intended to be, I ride it daily. This is a bike I will unquestionably be keeping for several years.

I'm on the same boat. My dealership offers Ducati Everred (Financed through Fidelity)

For additional 6 years, I think its 1600, 5yr is 1400, 4 is 1300, 3 is 1200. Those arent exactl numbers, I have it written at home somewhere.
I got a 25% discount from my dealer. Original price is 2k for 6 years.

I'm curious what you are paying and who covers our bikes.
They said you must purchase 60-30 days remaining of your original warranty. Buy it before yours expires.

Warranty Help?

My wife and I own his & hers Ducati Panigale's purchased new in 2014 and it's time to renew the Warranties. Extending the warranties is an NO BRAINER, just not sure with what company we will do so with.

Hi Emily and Taurean, here is a sales quote out the door for a RPM 3 year extended warranty for both the 899 and 1199 Panigale. Emily's 899 warranty ended on 4/11/2016 and Taurean's 1199 warranty ends 7/14/2016. The 899 is $1,184.88 for an additional 3 years and the 1199 is $1,580.28. Below I have attached the benefits of the coverage. Total package is $2,765.16...

What do you all think of the pricing for RPM ONE warranties? Because of the dealers delay getting back with warranty expiration my wifes warranty expired. I assume this does not allow her to qualify ablility to extend her warranty with Ducati Red. I'm pretty sure I still have the option to extend my warranty with Ducati Red but I haven' gotten any pricing for what that would be. Any help would be appreciated.

That's a rip off. Shop around for a better quote. I bought my rpm one extended coverage while my bike still had the factory warranty, but I paid $812 for 4 years of extended coverage. Also, if you sell the bike, you can get a pro-rated amount back for the term left of the account.

Wow!!! Thanks for the heads up! where did you purchase your RPM warranty from?

The 1199 & 899 are alos different in pricing. Which CC did you get this price for?

They had the best prices when I was looking back 18 months ago.

I have top coverage on my 1199 with 0 deductible. They seemed the great from my dealer. My dealer has had no issues with them covering anything wrong with a bike under coverage.

Just check out what you think of it, I thought it was the best for what I was looking for. Best all around coverage and best pricing.

I paid $750 for 3 years extended on my 2012 1199S when the bike was less than a year old (purchased in 2012).
It is a Ducati branded extended warranty, $50 deductible. The actual insurance company and administrator is Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc. Deerfield Beach, FL. Tel.: 1-877-800-0286
I would expect prices to have increased since then; however, not to the extent that would support the prices you are being quoted.
Shop around.

No worries, one of the nice things about Ducati EverRed is you can add it to the bike any time, even after the factory warranty has expired! Talk to your dealer, if they don't offer Ducati EverRed, shoot me a PM and I can get you a quote on it.

I wasn't sure about the rest of the dealership as I haven't worked with them, but Adrienne is awesome.

This isn't where I take my bike, it's just where I bought the extended warranty. The warranty is good anywhere, so no need to get over charged for it. I live in Orlando and take my bike to Daytona beach Ducati for service

So my wife ended up doing a Conerstone Powersports warranty for her 899 Pani for $900.00 for 36 months w no deductible. I have until july to purchase mine and i'm thinking the same route. Apparentley the Cornerstone warranty is the same offered to Suzuki. The Ducati dealer who we use to service our bikes says they have had better experiences with this warranty when getting paid and it's quite effortless filing claims.

Good thing if extended warranty is tranferrable, can offset mileage and bolster price at resale in a private sale, as the new owner is assured of not ending up with a costly lemon.
