Extended warranty..Who's buying one??

My dealer told me that I have to choose the EverRed when I go pick up the bike, before he files the initial factory 2 years warranty.
I can't add the EverRed at a later time.
This seemed a little odd to me after I had read here that some of you can add it at any time.
The cost for 2 additional years is approximately 1000 USD.

After much research I went with RPM1. It was around $800 for an additional 48 months.

Common sense would say one can add it at any given time while still within the original warranty period. No one can dispute that. If the GM/Owner is sayin you can even add it after the original warranty expires, my bet would be on Jarel. 100% of the time.

The laws regarding warranty coverages favor the consumer in the US - whereas it is likely that the buyer is not protected to the same extent in other countries.

If I recall correctly, @Claymore had his warranty vanish once Porsche began to manage Ducati warranties in S. Africa when VW / Audi took over.
