Get well soon STW. Apologies for the belated well wishes. Glad you will be on the mend soon. Chin up mate.

Hey guys...

Many many thanks for all the good wishes....its been a week now...my wrist is now a nice shade of purple/green/blue etc and looks like a weather map during a really nasty storm..... My broken heel is "heeling" ..:D. I dont recommend broken heels...they hurt.... Groin strain is ..well lets just say ..getting better... Still waiting for the estimate on my bike... but as I wont be riding for probably another 6 weeks I am not in a particular rush on that anyhow..

Thanks again for the concerns etc...the one thing thats going to take a while to mend is my pride...but I know that we have all been there or unfortunately will be... Take care out there guys!!!

I just got back from a long vacation and I just saw this! Hope you get well soon. Take care.

Carole, just so I'm not confused, you guys ARE coming over this year in addition to next year too, right?

No be in the States 2015 not this year
Just trying to confuse you!

Mr Moderator I couldn't get a flight due to the high winds and floods we are experiencing. In view of the fact you are quite well on the way in the healing process I shall let nature take its course.

Don't forget to eat your greens ( green vegetables) lots of protein to heal the skin.

Kind Regards,

The Duchess

Thanks Duchess... I am doing much better now...graduated to crutches and being mobile......Only been 2 weeks...so not bad :)

Checking In

I am sure everyone would like to know your medical status and how well you have been recuperating since the accident? I personally hope you are healing up well and getting around with or without crutches or cane. They sure do make some cool ... canes out there Steve!!

Wishing you the best recovery and let us know the sitrep on the bike too man? What was the extent of damage to that appendage of you?

Ok....In answer to your requests... No drama here... I am healing really well thanks graduated from a walking frame to crutches and now just limping like an old man...Oh wait... I am an old man... so anyway.. I am hoping/expecting to be able to ride within the next 3 weeks....I have a trip planned to 3 sisters near Austin mid April..so I need to get on with this recovery...

Bike sit rep ...well I ended breaking left clip on/clutch lever/switch assembly bending gear lever.. Damaging lower and upper left fairing..nose fairing and tail left side..

Thanks so much for asking...My injuries were minor..my pride dinged more so..30+ yrs of riding and first crash....(that wasn't caused by another driver)

It can't get here fast enough. Still cold up here, snow, salt everywhere. The weather guys are saying it's going to be a cold March.. Die winter die...

Well you live way north of me.... I don't envy you that....

Alright, time for some Pics of the carnage.

Best way to punish yourself for simple mistakes is sharing your pain.

Post em up!

You should post a list of parts needed, as well. I've got a stockpile of take off parts from my bikes that I'd sell cheap or give away depending on what you need to get her as good as new.

Cheers
