Kevin and everybody else that posted pictures of this bike congrats on your purchases. Kevin the picture at night near the truck spectacular.
Here is my question that somebody may know. The canister that u see where the normal bike would have the mufflers is the CAT I assume. I have a buddy that purchased a 2017 BMW and the cat is huge. Buying slips does nothing since the cat is welded and can't be taken off if u buy a slip on. This cones from a euro law. So my question is are slips done and what is Ducati plan in the future with this environmental BS

There's been no official word yet, I've been told Alrapovic is working on a FE specific exhaust that will be available sometime this winter. I heard it won't be a full system but who knows. Seeing how the 1299SL exhaust is about $7500 priced out I'm hoping I don't get hit for that.
As far as the plan moving forward I'm sure the dealers will still offer Akra systems, but I've heard rumors of the dealer buys it for you or installs it you may have to sign a waiver releasing ducati and the dealer from liability with the EPA and all that. Basically you'd say it was a "track bike" and won't be used in the streets. If it was it's on your own accord. Like I said this is all rumors.

Yes, unlimited mileage. $1k usd. No brainer

Absolutely. Being worry-free for 7 years is definitely worth a grand no doubt :) I'm surprised it wasnt more to be honest. Really I'm almost amazed you were even able to get 84 months. Was is provided by your dealership or is that directly with Ducati North America?

I got an 84 month unlimited mileage warranty for mine as well. It's a legit Ducati warranty bought through the dealer. They wanted $2000 but when I said no thanks they came back with a price of $1000 and of course I had to take them up on that offer.

Wow, sounds like you guys are getting a good deal.

I've been told I can't get an extension on mine so anyone in the U.K. been told the same?

I see. Mine was only $600 for 5 extra years but that was back in 2013. Maybe prices have gone up some.

Even my dragster was only $800 even though that's more expensive.

Its easy for them to sell those warranties for 1/25th the price of the bike. Most don't put miles on their bikes so don't use those warranties often when they buy them.

My 1199 has had 2 claims past the original 2yr warranty. It has paid for itself already. Basically 3 more years coverage for free. I always say better safe than sorry. You just never know. Low miles or hard ridden high miles. $10/mo for 5yrs was a no brainer for me.

Local Ducati dealer offers two extended warranties on the FE with similar pricing and terms from EverRed (Ducati) and Zurich.

I've been told by Ducati UK that they will not offer an extended warranty on the FE.

Everyone else in the UK in the same position?
