Finally dyno'd my bike...

Dyno #'s don't mean .... except for at Starbucks. I'm assuming that speed is the end goal? Way too much variance between makes of dyno's, operators, conditions to compare. Dyno's are a tool to check before and after mod's/tuning.

Unless your a "real" expert/pro level racer a few hp isn't going to mean squat. In fact more power may very well slow you done. I wouldn't sweat the BMW's small power advantage. It's still a boring inline four, at least that's what I thought when I owned one and sold it.

I just wanted to know what it was putting out, the dyno run was free.

I think it's useful in terms of the contour of the map. The power delivery feels like that, so I don't imagine much smoothing was done. What you can do is see if you can create a scale to work off. I can scan the run paper with a ruler on it and you can go from there.

TransNone, got news for you smoothing factor of 5 should be considerable smoother than #3. Zero on the dynojet is no smoothing.

FIIIINE, you guys are a rough crowd. I'll ask for no smoothing next time as well for comparison.

I also don't know what what the relative smoothing is to say 3 to 2, or 5. I'm not a dyno machine buff.

No problems. most use either 3 or 5. Many things other than the engine can cause rough chart lines. Wheel spin, tires out of balance, a bad chain, the operator, and on. Enjoy your bike!

Hmm, well I guess it's nice to see my tire is balanced and my 520 chain is still holding down the fort lol.

To hard, as long as it feel great that's all you can ask for. I'm expecting to have a new chart early next week.

I believe this is the first dyno I've seen with the 41t installed. The power curve looks great. How do you like this mod?

See, you should have gone with the MWR filter for at least another 6 rwhp!

j/k :D

Thanks for sharing your numbers. I think they're decent based on all the aforementioned potential variables. The fact that you said an S1KRR put down 181 is interesting, too bad it wasn't the same day within an hour or so by the same operator, then it would be much more relevant as a comparison. Still, considering the recent magazine comparisons I've read between the 1199R and HP4, this would seem about right. The 1199R seems to be significantly stronger than a non-R, especially with its full Termi installed. I'm not surprised that you may be down about 10-12 rwhp from a similarly modded R. If it were my bike, I'd be quite pleased.

Yeah, I really wish the r was out when I was shopping. I'm not very happy about that, came with most of the stuff I put on!

You guys are trolls, HERE FFS!

Please direct me to my chicken strips, maybe I'll keep working it since I still have two rolling wheels. Some of you guys fail to understand "chicken strips" are a buffer for emergency riding on the street. What happens when you bust the speed limit on the street? Cars, ditches, DEER,.

That tire appears under inflated :)
