Is it possible to install BMW S1000RR mirrors on our bikes?

We really like their mirrors and would be so nice to have those mirrors on our bikes plus the added folding mirror feature?

Have you guys installed other brand of folding mirrors and if so please post the part number, photos, and url of where you got them as well as your opinion on their reliability and functionality as well as looks?

Why do you want folding mirrors?

Highly doubt the angle would match and that it would look good without expending way too much effort. Motoscience, Rizoma, bar end mirrors, etc would all work I'd suspect.

Thanks mate I want folding mirrors because i filter a lot and i dont want to damage my mirrors if i hit someone's protruding mirrors :(

As mentioned above, Moto-Science is one of the absolute best aftermarket Ducati mirror Companies out there which you should look into for your bike!

Moto-Science : The Ducati Mirrors Specialist - Home

Matter of fact, I've been good friends with its owner, Henri for a long long time and would be glad to introduce you via email to obtain "Gunny Fitz" pricing perhaps and to start things off w one foot in the door! ;) Feel free to shoot me an email on this or ANY other Ducati Hook Ups i'm known for here!

I've actually used his mirrors on every one of my bikes and IMHO they work MUCH MUCH better than any stock mirror that gives an up close view of your elbow as im sure you know well right? Lol.
Would attach some pics but using my cell, and will so upon getting on the Macbook Ok? Not only do they work great, but look awesome and as you stated - fold too! :)

Gunny out.......

Ps. Forgot the email. [email protected]

I fitted the motoscience ones about 2 years ago. Did a big post about it back then with pics. LED's are not as bright but they do fold and vibrate less.

They got some nice stuff thank you for the link i am looking at those mirrors now and do like them very much.

Btw. Exavtly what does "Filter" mean that you mention above?

Lane Splitting :)

I took it as splitting lanes.

Yes that's what i meant lol

I am also interested in the pricing.

Thanks man shame about the LED brightness - sadly he said on his website "Very Bright Leds.......trust me on this." <-- it seems the word TRUST is misused !!!!

The mirrors looked much shorter than stock i guess this will make rear view much worse :(

Brad and I go WAY back to the initial days here when the 1199 series first came out, so anything he writes is solid. I assume you guys are talking about the LED "Blinker" Directional lights here, and iit' s not that iIddidn'tlook at the LED Blinker lights - but that it never really occurred to me if they were truly that much of a difference in the end.

I suppose tthat's true but have not seen stock lights in YEARS so wwouldn't have anything to ggauge them too here . Had em on my Tricolore since first week and never looked back (lLol-Pun iintended for ssure on that one!) Hahaha .

As stated above, if you guys wish to have me formally introduce you to Henri I'llgladly send an email to him and Ccd you OR (jJustthought of this now) will reach out to him and bring him into this thread since hhe's actually a member / vendor here here too! Sound cool? That way he can see all the comments himself and be able to answer everyone's qquestions same time! I just don'tknow his cost sheets on items so wwouldn'tbe able to quote any pricing on his behalf, sorry. He's a hhe'll of a guy IMHO. ( Heygents iI'mhaving ssomeIT issues here as you can tell and will drop out here now but will ccertainlyget HHenri iinvolvedhere soon! - hgeymaybe he can fix my stupid ttypo issue here too eh??, LOL

Gunny out.

The OEM mirrors do not stick very far beyond the bar ends, using the mirrors as 'feelers' while filtering is not bad (better than hitting a bar end). I filter a lot and don't find the mirrors a problem, they clear above most car mirrors and the bar ends go though under.

I do think the OEM ones stick out just far enough for visibility, any narrower and you will just see yourself, but I do find them very vibey and visibility is quite bad. Not the best quality either.

I like the no mirror look, had bar end mirrors on my street triple but I doubt if you can see in the mirrors if they are bar end on a sport bike? On an upright bike it makes sense but it seems to me that you would have to look way down and angled to see bar ends on a Panigale?

O, and bar end mirrors really limit your filtering fun, even folded in they make you quite a bit wider.

I think the bike looks way better without the mirrors but in Australia as you know it's a police nanny state they have already impounded my bike they could easily impound it if i removed the mirrors or mod the exhaust :(

They can/could impound motor vehicles if they deem too loud excessive noise which i found out when they impounded my bike :(

I just got back from court today lost my license for 6 months and have to pay $2000 in court fines :( so no more riding or driving for 6 months. I will have to buy a bicycle for sure to get around it will keep me fit :) so this could actually be blessing in disguise.

I am too scared to mod the mirrors (removing the mirrors altogether) and/or the exhaust on my bikes now :( so i am going to just spend money on making our bikes look sexy by adding carbon fiber or something along that line.

Which would you guys buy gloss or mat black carbon fiber?

Have you guys installed any carbon fiber mods if so could you please post them pics so i could steal some idea from yous all?

Or better still should i trade our bikes in for 2017 Panigale ???

Alpha Male.

I've been a member here since day one when Ducat istarted it.
From the beginning I've been widely known as tthe King Of Glossy Carbon Fiber and would NEVER mount anything but gloss on any of my Ducatis ! ;) - Feel free to search my threads and polls about it !

I even took that nasty plastic looking OEM matte front fender and had it SERIOUSLY customized with multiple layers of beautiful shiny gloss! (Going to try to attach some pics from my cell but not too lucky with that in the past) Lastly, IMHO I'd have to give my vote to SShift-Tech for the best looking & best fitting CF on the market too! :)
