Help Support Ducati Forum:

Well thank you for clearing that up CaliDuc. Your verbage on position, I mean. FYI you can use the low and high position in either standard gearing or reverse gearing.

I placed mine in the low position as the high felt too tight or short in the legs for me to be comfortable for everyday street riding. I think aftermarket rearsets in general are expensive, however given the features and look of the DP ones and the fact that I got a 20% off birthday certificate on in stock ducati parts at my local dealer, that made it more affordable than the rest and made it an easy decision for me.

I have just ordered a set of the Rizoma pegs plus adapters. I am looking forward to fitting them!

With all the other rearsets, difficulty deciding, and advantages/disadvantages/cost of each, I think this is the way to go. Where did you find them for sale?

I was told that the adapters for the 1199 aren't available yet??

"Unfortunately there are no fold up brackets for the 1199 as of yet. I am sure LSL is working on a design as we speak if you are still in the market for some in a month or two check back with us at that point."

SPIEGLER PERFORMANCE PARTS

Question: Why would you like the fold up brackets? Any advantage?

IMO fixed pegs allows you to use them as lifting points, and to tie the bike down while towing.

There was a big discussion on this in another thread. Some like them not to fold so they save the bike from damage on a slide. Others say they have seen many slides were the peg caught in a pot hole or something and causes it to flip.

Interesting. Thanks!

I had LSL pegs and adapters on my 1198 and they were a big improvement over stock. As said by others they are grippy right at the very edge of the peg, gives you confidence. The 1199 pegs are better than the 1198 pegs were but still not very good. For those that dont need whole rearsets, just new pegs this should be a great solution

If this was directed towards me...

I went this route due to the huge expense in buying complete rearsets since there are other parts I want to spend $ on now and couldn't justify the cost.

Adding the Rizoma pegs w/folding adapters and CF heal guards is a huge functional improvement and I feel it looks a lot better than stock also. Heal guards are more for looks and they don't cut into the heal of your boot like the stock ones.

I purchased mine through my Duc dealer.

Yup, they're really nice.

Was riding on Saturday and my left foot slipped of the peg as I blasted past a tin box. Had convinced myself, up to that point, that they weren't needed

Thanks for taking the time flobrandx :)

Thanks! No prob man.

I think that's the best thing about this forum is helping each other out so we can minimize our own mistakes by talking and seeing what others have done before making any quick less educated decisions or choices.

I should have my Rizoma B-Pros and adapters tomorrow. Just had an eMail to say they were on there way. Ordered from V Customs on line.

Just the joy of fitting them, probably on Sunday when I will have more time.

I was thinking of putting Rizoma B-Pro on the passenger pegs

Installed the B-Pros on mine before a track day. Great pegs, supper grippy. My bike got T-Boned by a car, and laid it down. The longer pegs saved the entire side of the bike, no joke. Best $100 I've spent. Took 15 mins to install with an allen key and a pair of pliers.

Not sure if these were posted, but I just installed these:

Ducati Designs, LLC - Superbike, SF, SC and Monster Adjustable Pegs

They are bad ass and the quality is top notch. The guy who makes them has them built out in Germany (don't know why since he's based out of Oregon), and everything about them is great. I got mine with all black parts. If you tell him you want the set that Barry got for his Panigale in Washington, he'll know what to get you. I had the race pegs with a shorter offset adjuster.

I'm 6' tall and with the pegs where I want them, now the issue is getting the foot controls wider to match the offset spacing of the pegs, and also the angle of the controls. The angle is easy to change on the shifter though.

I won't be following this thread, just wanted to chime in with my experience on a product I stumbled upon and really think is great, and an affordable option to rearsets.

Did you get the Pro's to fit the stock rearsets with the folding adapters? I am having my dealer order them, but the description says only fits Rizom's rearsets. If so, what were the part numbers? Thanks.

I have DP rear sets on the front and Rizoma B-PRO pegs on the passenger pegs. The Rizoma's are very easy to fit.
