Full Akrapovic Worth It?

Huge difference of having a stock bike vs riding one that is properly tuned. The full system from the dealership is a scam they charge you like $2k for a UpMap key that does absolutely nothing for the bike and a Ducati stamp on the cannisters. Take the $2k and get the bike properly tuned.

Racsak have you ridden a V2 or a 959? What about a properly tuned bike? We all have yet to see the pics of your bike?
For ..... sake… You literally commented on photos of my bike on another thread and said it was basically a parts bin special, which it is.

I don't see the point in lugging the engine in 4th at 30mph.

The pops and bangs are a results of the secondary air injection system. It can be blocked off which eliminates the problem. I've heard a few opinions that having all that flame in the cans will shorten the life of the packing material, but I don't know if that's true or not.

re 4th gear at 30….cos the police in the UK have been coming down heavily on loud bikes.

I am definitely in the land of the helmet less straight pipe Harley riders. I've never even heard of the cops messing with a rider because of noise. How are cops in the UK enforcing that? Do they have some type of sound testing equipment? For example, for the cops here to give you a window tint ticket, they have to use a calibrated meter and note what your windows read. How does that work for sound over there?

I’m sure they use db meters and Europe is known for stringent laws …they even use db meters in US / Canada in some places .Some very quiet neighborhoods which are enroute to twisties etc often have cops with db meters coz people complain

Yeah. They have dB meters.

Short answer.. NO.
Heat reduction is insignificant.
Looks great, but this the only thing.
I just sold my V2 with Akra.. forget of getting back the unreasonable price..
Spend the money on training and track days..
My opinion.

Also curious if hi flow air filter is part of kit for full system? Live down a dirt road and always leery of these because of dust

I’ve been advised from multiple sources that the OEM filter is actually really good and that there isn’t much to gain by swapping filters. It seems counterintuitive but I am passing along what I’ve been told.

For track use and especially street use, filter upgrade isn't worth the cost or hassle. Racing.....maybe so.

Can confirm that the slip ons *do* come with an air filter.
Interesting…I bought my SFV4s with Akra slip ons brand new from dealer installed on delivery and didn’t find OEM filter with other OEM stuff. You could be right ….I’ll check the box again
