Interesting…I bought my SFV4s with Akra slip ons brand new from dealer installed on delivery and didn’t find OEM filter with other OEM stuff. You could be right ….I’ll check the box again
It came with a sprint air filter. That was the hardest thing to install!

I confirmed with the dealer and he said slip ons doesn’t come with air filter..only full system does. Also cross checked with AMS Ducati Dallas and they confirmed as well that air filter isn’t included with slip ons.Maybe you got it as a promotion

"Europe" is a place where no place is like any other place.
The only db checks I've ever seen have been at Laguna Seca race track in Cali, and MUGELLO race Track in Tuscany. The track officials actually wave you over and do a test as you come off the track.
I keep hearing stories though, but I don't see any threat. I hear it's some small particular towns will have 2 asshats that have to push the limits of their authority, checking for cat converters etc. Just fking speed cameras everywhere. Most are fake but, che palle o.

I’m sure they use db meters and Europe is known for stringent laws …they even use db meters in US / Canada in some places .Some very quiet neighborhoods which are enroute to twisties etc often have cops with db meters coz people complain

No. It wasn’t a promotion at all. At least all the people in the UK who bought the Akra slip ons got an air filter and the up map.

Does the slip-on come with the up-map? I also have a Bayliss and the cost difference from getting it my dealership and getting it directly from Italy is almost 2k difference in price.

I got mine from WRS in italy and yes they said as soon as I have my VIN number (still waiting for my Bayliss V2) they will send me the code for the Ducati/Akrapovic fuel map that the dealer installs. The dealer said it will cost $60 Aussie dollars to put the tune on. The slip ons came with the Sprint filter as well. From WRS in Italy to Brisbane took 3 days to Brisbane then sat at the airport for 4-5 days but I had it in 8 days which was great.

For a street bike,No its not worth it IMO...with the baffles out, which is the correct way to run the exhaust for full power and no dips in the power band ,The okra full system is too fricken loudly ears ring after a day of riding it on the street, yes you will feel the power and weight difference but IMO its not worth it on the street as the stock bike already ridiculously fast and handles great.

for a 80/20 Track/street bike or full track bike, it's 100% worth it because during a 20-30 min session or race every pond saved and any HP gained helps with keeping the rider less fatigued and more focused. Also the bike is not as loud with a full system at the track as you don't have objects bouncing the sound of the exhaust back at you Track speeds are constant go so you're always riding away from the sound, kind of like riding on open the freeways wind noise is actually more of a thing than exhaust sound.

In my opinion yes its worth it, bike feels lighter and sounds way better also it runs cooler as titanium desipates heat better then stainless steel wether you racing or your on the street it opens up the bike allows it to breath better, group that with sprint filter and the bike is happier. After I tuned my bikes of course they got dialed in but it just ran so much better, ducatis are loud without akra or aftermarket exhaust really everyone should be wearing earplugs as even the windnose is so loud it can cause hearing damage Itself. Any noise of 80 decibels sustained for 20 mins is harming to the ear drums, white noise or wind noise is a bunch of harmful high frequencies, wear earplugs always..

if anyone interested im selling a full race akra titanium exhaust and a 1299 stock exhaust.

wear earplugs always..

^^ This. Do your old age a favour and make this a habit; Helmet, earplugs, gloves. Our bikes are loud and fast so we get the wind noise issue and the exhaust sound. The full Akra on the 1299 was a shotgun symphony but its much more enjoyable if a bit slower with a quieter bike.

What ear plugs are you using? I tried the NoNoise Motorsport and didn't like them, not enough sound reduction. Even the wind noise was too loud. With a pair of Howard Leight foam plugs its much better, but I still keep the baffles in on the street.

I want to try a set of custom plugs.

I’ve come across a company that makes custom fit ear plugs for various activities but I can’t find them now.

They even make the with speakers, wired or Bluetooth to hook up to helmet intercom systems.

Did a quick search and there’s quite a few companies that provide them. This is one Custom Motorcycle Ear Plugs | Motorbike Ear Plugs | Motorcycle Ear Plugs

They make the plugs after they get an in-ear impression mould from an audiologist for a perfect fit.

They are quite expensive but do seem to be the best option. IIRC the plugs/headphones I’ve seen used in F1 and WEC are similar.

I’ve considered this but I can’t ignore the fact that everyone on the MotoGP grid (for whom, price is irrelevant) uses the yellow foamies.

I have the akra on my 959. Can't say I'm that satisfied. It changed the sound better for sure, but it isn't worth that much. It isn't loud enough. If I were you I would check out the mivv undertail pipe; it looks like the akra evo on 1299 FE.
