Full Termi's melting fairing

Picked mine up from the dealer today and they replaced the lower fairing without fixing the grommet or creating a temp fix. I ask why and they said, "it's a Ducati problem. They can replace it again when it melts again". Hmmm whatever i suppose.

Not what i would like to hear from my dealer

What do you win with replacing the fairing every 2 months ?
1. Will cost time to bring and pickup the bike
2. Will cost time to install the fairing
3. In time you will get 2 different colors on lower and upper fairing
4. When fixed you could have been out riding instead of waiting at the dealers place

I would say -> better safe than sorry :)

Sometimes you just have to take things into your own hands. On my 1198 I went to the auto part store and bought some high temp exhaust/engine shield that was one sided sticky and placed that on the inner fairing. Seemed to really help with melting problems. I'm sure you could also make your own grommet or whatever to increase the spacing. Seems the dealer and ducati are a bit naiive at times IMO.
