I’ve only had these on for a few rides. Right side fell apart at around 50 miles. The left side fell off today during a couple hundred mile ride. I hope they’ll take care of me and send a new set. It took a few months to get the first set of FuturisMoto block off’s so I suspect I’ll be waiting a while for the replacements. In the meantime I’ve ordered the DB Race mirrors to see how I like them.

I assume this has been a common issue as FuturisMoto’s site says they’re going to be releasing a redesign.

I had similar on my V4. Was told that I had used the wrong bolts (The ones supplied are very slightly shorter than the OEM ones). The longer bolts put pressure on the inside of the plastic housing, causing it to fail. Apparently attention is drawn to this in the installation instructions. I was offered a small discount on a replacement.

I got a reply telling me they’re going to ship out a replacement set. I’ll report back once received. It sounds like it will be a few weeks so I’ll be rocking the DB Race mirrors while I wait.

Luckily I haven’t had any issues with my Futurismoto mirror block offs. I did use the hardware it was supplied with

Ouch! That's unfortunate.

Bolts penetrating too deep into housing pushing the top off is indeed a known issue.
In your picture they seem to penetrate quite deep?...

If so, be very careful minding the thread depth when installing your replacement set!
You might want to shorten bolts even a few mm to be 100% sure they only penetrate the housing by ~4mm, i.e. not beyond the thread depth of housing itself (measure this fyi).

tip: you can see how deep they penetrate by visual inspection when removing them after initial instalment.
This way my black coated aluminum inner thread clearly shows signs of how deep I fixated them.
To me (same?) supplied bolts are on the short side installed: thread penetration in my PV4 is only ~2mm.
I additionally secured them with blue locktight to be safe.

Fazit: depending on factory fairing tolerances of PV2 and PV4, penetration of their supplied bolts into their CNC housing can vary considerably between bikes?!

Reliability:
My Futurismo set is doing fine for more then a year/ almost 10k kilometres now.
Even in the worst of weather they stand tall.
Really happy with them. Fine crafsmanship.

Mine wasn’t a penetration issues. I was told their normal supplier had a shortage since April due to that pandemic. The "like" material they provided seems to be more brittle and is breaking under the pressure of the wind causing the top to fly off.

I’ll be receiving the new version in 3 weeks.

A few pics of the DB-Race mirrors. I just installed them this evening so haven’t had a chance to ride yet. They are beautifully put together and well made. Visibility isn’t going to be a good as bar ends but I much prefer the esthetics. More feedback to come.

I got to take the V2 out today for a few hours. Visibility is not nearly as good as the CRG Arrow bar end mirrors. I’d give the CRGs a 9 out of 10 for visibility and I’d give the DB-Race a 4 out of 10. Looks wise I’d give the CRGs a 6 out of 10 and the DB-Race a 9. I’ve got a few more weeks to test them before the replacement mirror block offs arrive. I’m warming up to the DB-Race mirrors. As of right now, I suspect I’ll keep them on.
