Talking about laptimes

can you recomend me some good laptimers?

My 6 year old AIM SOLO, just worked for me on 2 of 6 sessions last time at cota.

I think I have something setted up wrong

But might as well buy a new one, more updated version

I recently just started using the Aim Solo 2, what I've learned, if you try to "build" your own track and let it learn the track on its own, the device is junk. Once I preloaded a track that's already been created, it seems to work a lot better.

I have the Aim solo2 DL.

it works great and the data logging function is really useful as well

I had the first gen SOLO and it would similarly fail to record some of my laps.
I now use the SOLO 2 and it has performed perfectly.

i have the AIM SOLO 1

and a friend of mine also, and it was taking like 3 minutes every time you turned it on, to get a satellite signal, and then it was weak or didn’t work.

another friend had the SOLO 2, and worked perfectly

will look into it

I've got a Starlane Corsaro Pro. It is pretty OK. For simplicity I'd probably go AIM next time. In the Starlane instructions they say to keep cameras and phones away from the unit because they can cause interference. If you have a GoPro blasting out bluetooth and wifi signals that may be your issue.

I gotta say Starlane looks like 80s technology from times sq. Aim solo 2 DL, for bolt on with the direct data line to bike. Or you have to go into new dash // data setup. One still lingering thing from hem is a full proper data // dash scenario that doesn't require any additional bits, can store a good amount, and able to add sensors

Great question @RODOLFO !

I ordered an AiM Solo 2dl in February. Just canceled it due to being back ordered with no eta. Considering the i2m chrome plus or pro for lap timer + data logging.

Anyone have any experience?

I use I2M Chrome Pro 2 dash // data

Its basically plug and play... But like all race parts it requires finessing, and you have to use their left hand button setup, I could not use the BSD let hand set

Are there any of these devices that log lean angle?

One of my weak areas is that I’m learning that I want more lean but for shorter distances of carrying the lean….I’m not leaning enough abs leaning for too long in the corners instead of leaning more, pivoting, and getting out of the lean asap

would be useful for me along with other data to see what’s actually happening and when and where I THINK I’m improving but may not be.

be patient with my nine questions guys, I’m only on my 3rd track day, I’m learning lol
