Call me crazy but im not too confident dealing with a company or ordering their product if they cant even respond to emails? Has anyone dealt with them or used their products?

Wayne did a great job for me.

I ordered his product for my 1299 last year, it works as advertised but you have to be computer literate to install and operate Tuneboy. The software manual is useful for the most part and it could do with an update. Wayne may be slow in answering emails but he has answered all my technical queries.

I have not seen a single thread about tuneboy where there have not been some sort of comments about his response or instructions being inconsistent. That is the only reason I have not bought the cruise control module, which I dearly would love to have. While I'm very capable of doing basic computer stuff, I struggle when the instructions are incomplete or not clear. I usually rely on the internet to find help.

I have actually asked on this forum if someone would post what computer and operating system it works on, and basics steps for installing the programs, but nobody has responded so I'm leery of what sort of help I might get if it does not go well.

If wish someone would prove me wrong. Two of my bikes have cruise control, but the bike that really needs it is the Ducati. Unfortunately, from where I live I'm 50 miles from the first curve!

Wayne assumes that everyone's skills is at least 1/10th of his level. (which is close to genius i guess)
that's a challenge sometimes.

IMHO it's an amazing product but he does not want to admit that this alone does not do the trick. customer service is 50% of the job and that is just not consistent ...

we had lengthy discussions on here and in the end he decided to opt out.

Does all this computer literate apply to their quickshifters too? Im hoping for plug and play to be honest!

I have his stuff I did have issues getting him to respond but he did respond- usually around 3-4am EST a day or two after I sent the email. My stuff works flawlessly. I figured most of it it myself- it's not too difficult.

Tuneboy is not plug and play - not rocket science either.

I got TB cruise/tune/quickshifter last spring and it took a little playing around with to get settings/blip maps etc as I wanted, but I like playing around a bit with stuff like that. If you read the documentation, and search through the forum threads on TB, you should be pretty well covered. I am pretty happy with the system, cruise is awesome for the boring hauls out to the fun roads, and the blipper system is really fun :-D

If you just want the Cruise control, it is close to plug and play, if you have ever upgraded a bios or firmware on a computer/router or similar you can figure out the procedure of installing the cruise control only.

I have gotten responses to some questions I have posed to TB, but with varying response times, but that has been discussed ad nauseam here and on other boards, so if you need close customer support followup, TB is probably not the best solution for you.

If you want a plug and play quickshifter, then you should rather look at BikeSports Blip Box, which is as close to a plug and play solution you can find.

The cruise control holds to within a kilometer per hour

My quick shift time down to half of oem

But it was the torque increase from 4 to 5500rpm that was the best

All done on his dyno

TB is a good product, but as explain, it requires a little bit of computer knowledge.
I had no agent where I live so I was on my own. The instructions are ok and you can pick-up the basics to unpload the first tunes/tirm files easy.

The adjustments and Auto tune part could be better explained, but theres a few threads around which explain is further detail.

Ive had a few problems (including 6th gear auto full throttle) which was solved on "Australia Time"

Everything else I adjusted by playing around or reading across different forums.

TBH its easier than using TACX reflash for a car, as I took me a fair effort to get my computer to work with the TACX and Logworks programs.

If this is really above your comfort zone with Computers, then maybe you should take it to a tuner who knows TB

BLip Box is very expensive for what you get thou......

Would you mind sharing a picture of your Blip tables? (PM if you want)
I like to compare my adjustments with somebody elses.

so can anyone comment on experience with their quickshifters? love the idea of having a
bi-directional quickshifter on the 1199s and i guess the auto blip does sound kind of cool too! (more interested in the push and pull sensor more than anything!)

As I said I am very happy with the quickshifter and the up/down function it provides. the ability to adjust switch pressure and kill times is also a nice bonus :)

I agree the BlipBox is a bit pricey for what you get, but it is more plug'n'play than TB.

I primarily wanted the cruise control and all the other TB features were a nice bonus :)

I attached a screenshot of my blip and TPH tables, they are moved a bit off from the defaults tables, but they seem to work pretty well on my bike. :)

A good product, the documentation could be improved and some inconsistencies fixed but he has always responded to queries in a timely fashion so no complaints from me.

I installed everything on a Windows 10 laptop.

ah thats great! does the up/down quickshift function work without any messing about with the ECU?

i guess it would be asking a bit much to have a true plug and play replacement, does the tuneboy use the OEM ducati wiring and then piggyback the 02 sensor?

You have to flash the ECU to use the TB quickshifter, you also have to remove and deactivate the 02 sensors, as the TB quickshifter uses the 02 wiring to communicate. The TB quickshifter does not use the Ducati QS wiring at all.

If I remember correctly the CC uses the other O2 sensor plug. I do not have the QS down function. Just the choice of the 3 tunes and CC.

Thanks for posting.

I'll post up my ones when im not at work, but I see your BlipL table values are lower than mine in general. Might be worth a try to compare.

I had a pic form a tuner in Perth QS tables, but it was a little too aggressive
for my liking. (later found it was for a track bike with a fancy slipper not the OEM one)

I also shorted the upshift kill time by nearly half and increased pressure point as was getting cut's going over bumps.

Thanks for the responses. I probably can do it or manage to find the help I need. But I dont consider his price for what you get to be cheap enough to offset sketchy service.

I just bought a Carista module and downloaded their app to do some "coding" to my Audi. The main feature I wanted was very easy to program. Some other features were not. I got an answer on a forum and Carista responded to my e-mail to them with an answer in about two days. And all it cost me was $40, not $400.

Put it this way, service is hit n miss, but the product is pretty good.

You could say that about a number of large international companies.

If you have cold feet about support then go Woolich.

I absolutely love tuneboy.

Wayne has actually gone way above and beyond what he should have to help accomplish something their software wasn't even designed to do..

Takes a couple days to hear back. Which is a great thing, especially since it's him and Emma running the show.

As for the support and answers... imagine the millions of questions he gets..
"I know it says windows only, but how do I run it on my mac"
"do I really have to install the drivers to get it to connect"
"Will this make my bike faster"
