I have a 2021 Panigale v4 S anyone else feel like they are being cooked when riding especially my feet and calfs, what can I do to get the heat away from there? I have the full titanium Akra exhaust system

I had a slight burn on the inside of my left calf just below the knee from a ride the other day.

Adding a slip-on which gets rid of the cats would help I'd imagine.

I had a Streetfighter V4 which had a full Akrapovic system and I don't remember it being as bad. It was sport bike warm, but not check your leg to see if you're on fire hot.

I have the akra exhaust and I run water instead of coolant, and I heat taped the bottom of my seat. Heat isn’t a big concern anymore for me. Still gets a bit warm at a stop light but all good once I’m moving again.

Now the v4 with stock exhaust I rode I felt like I was gonna catch on fire. I couldn’t get off that bike quick enough.

It gets hot but shouldn't be that bad. You are probably not using adequate gear. Get taller riding boots and try riding jeans.

Or if you have certain skin conditions like psoriasis then this bike may not be for you...

I run engine ice. I think the full Akra is helping more than the coolant.

Psoriasis. WTF?

When my leg was burned I had on riding jeans and SMX 6 v2 boots. My 1199 was no where near as hot as the V4.

I just bought a 21 V4 and came from a 2015 R1. People complained about the R1 being hot when it came out and as usual it was nothing. Never even thought about it. So I assumed the Ducati owners were being over dramatic as well. Wow was I wrong! The heat is real! I cannot believe how hot this bike is. First thing I told the dealer when he checked in with me is I love the bike but damn it is brutally hot. He said yes, it’s to remind you that you are riding a rocket. haha

I have literally checked to see if my left leg was smoking. On my 1199 and Streetfighter V4 they had full Akra exhausts and never remember it being that bad. The 1199 was warm stock, but nothing like the V4.

I had no heat issues even in 35 degree ambient. New CF heatshield under the seat, and swapped to Termi slip on. No issues whatsoever unless I wrap my thighs around the rear cylinders.

+1 with Mick.

I ride regularly in shorts if I'm just putting around (yes I wear full gear on spirited rides) and am not by any means actually burned. It get a little hot on the insides of the ankles/calves but not even close to unbearable. If I'm in full gear I don't feel a thing. 2020 poverty edition with remap and "Phil" exhaust.

Disclaimer...I'm in the northeast (MA) so it's not exactly death valley here, but it still gets hot in summer. And I don't really enjoy riding when it gets over about 90 so she stays parked in those temps.

I originally thought it was the exhaust and cat making the heat but read and now agree it is the rear head. If I put my heels on the foot pegs my legs are forward enough that I do not feel a lot of heat. If I put my toes on the foot pegs my legs are next to the head and roast. Even at 100 mph it’s still just as hot.
I think that is why some people say no heat while others are burning their legs. Changing the position of my legs a small amount makes a big difference.

I made the mistake of riding mine to the shop with jeans and low top shoes with no socks in 96 degree air…had my wife follow me over and was going out to dinner after….was miserable, was expecting a 1st degree burn it hurt so much haha #neveragain lol

These things with and without the cats isn't the same beast as heat is concerned.
