HEAT!!!!!!

I’m ready to try anything. I know the bike would give out some heat so I preemptively installed the full AKRA, heat shield kit, Samco coolant hose set, engine ice and it’s still waaaaay too hot. This morning I took my freshly delivered V4 out for its first real run. I headed straight up the North Georgia mountains, and was able to avoid any stop and go traffic yet I still managed to cook my calf. I can’t believe it. I rarely went under 70MPH and was wearing Dainese Drake pants. Holy ....! My V2 was nearly as hot. I need to figure this out or I’ll be posting it in the market place.

Just remove the bottom fairing and you'll solve about 50% of the problem.

Why the bottom? Can you explain that?

I have a pet theory that its heat from the very exposed header from the rear cylinder which is close to the left rearset. I may try to fashion a heat shield.

Yeah that's correct it is the rear header. Removing the lower fairings will do absolutely nothing.

My dealer thinks the full Akra exhaust runs hotter than the stock pipes. Unfortunately, he failed to mention it until after the install... Lol. It sounds like I may have been better off going with the Termi slip-ons, and leaving the stock headers (and heat shield). I’m going to see my independent mechanic, DucShop, can come up with a solution and I’ll report back if he has anything.

I’m posting a photo of this beauty as it serves as reminder for me why I’m putting up with cooked calves.

Take it to the track. You won't notice the heat there, except in the pit. :p

That’s definitely the plan, but I would also like to be able to ride it on the street without needing to make a trip to the intensive care for 3rd degree burns.

I don't think there's much of a difference between the stock exhaust and Termi slip-on when it comes to the left calf heat problem. I didn't strap a thermocouple to my leg and the ambient temps weren't the same so I don't have a perfectly fair before and after test. I don't remember the full Akra on my Streetfighter V4 being hotter. If anything, the bike was much more enjoyable after installing it. I never remember heat being an issue on that bike with the full Akra system. I speculate this has to do with how much more air is moving around the rear cylinder.

What heat problem? First Ive heard of it on a Panigale

Indeed a known given. Very well documented here, here, here and here as well...
Indeed the Search function of this site sucks.

My legs looked like this b4 economic remediation.

With the non-existent explanation you gave why would anyone try it?

I'm all for trying and learning but you didn't leave a lot of information.

I have a 2021 Panigale v4 S anyone else feel like they are being cooked when riding especially my feet and calfs, what can I do to get the heat away from there? I have the full titanium Akra exhaust system
Common issue since the first V4 came out in 2018. I have full Akra on my SP and it way better.

I'm on team full leathers. Leather pants really stop the heat but you'll realize how slippery the seat is.

The Termi slip-on was marginally better on the Panigale. With the Streetfighter V4, I didn't find that bike as bad but it had a full Akra system. I still think this is more of an airflow thing than a full system helping.

When I installed my Arrow Slip ons I just left the bottom fairing off and it made a big difference in the heat I felt.

Wore Dainese knee length socks and their technical dry pants under riding pants. Huge difference.

heat is also drastically reduced with the V4 exhaust mod i offer. no more heat retention in the cats, improved flow and better exit of exhaust gases.

PM me for inquiries.
