The Helmet King Of The Forum!

I must admit this thread is a good revival piece for sure!

Based on what I know, and have seen , Mark419NYis the biggest helmet wore I've ever met! It seems like every week I get a new text from him showing me another new helmet he has added to his collection! You love buying helmets more than you buy gas for bikes Mark- and have had some serious collectors items and sharp lids man! Keep up the streak of showing them off brother!

Not sure I ever submitted mine and don't feel like looking thru 6 pages to see on my cell phone right now, so here's mine.

Got the Arai Ducati Special one to match up the 1198s Corse I bought new and it was #244 Limited Edition out of 500. My fabulous dealer threw it in with my purchase since we go VERY far back to the days when I scored the #2 highest Sales Rep on East Coast way back in like 2002 I think!

However, in the warmer months I admit I always reach for the Bell Star due to its unbelievable ventilation system which to me has been the best air fow and comfort model I've owned. Not to mention that having their Transition Shield is without a doubt the most incredible invention any helmet manufacturer has used! I'm sure those with same faceshield can agree with me on this here?

Since my riding days are extremely rare now, I'm probably coming close to the 5 yr mark on them both. Anyone taking Aaron Stevensons Cornerspeed school down at VIR or elsewhere be advised he won't allow you to attend if your lid is older than 5 years old. Not sure if many other schools are as strict on this but it is a debatable topic for sure. :)

I have the AGV Pista carbon black...it's a great helmet, very light and stable. It's worth the extra money.

Suomy SR Sport. Love it! Very light and stable

That is a pretty helmet and the right colors. Is it for those with more oval shaped heads or is it more rounded. I can't west the Arai Corsa because it hit me too tight in the forehead however the Signet Q fits well.

My old faithful Bell

I am still running my good old faithful Bell Star from 1980. Had a few crashes in it as you can see but still going strong. No vents so gets a bit hot in summer. All the lining has rotted away. Wish I could still buy a visor for it, bit hard to see thru nowadays. :D

Hey Brad,

Didn't know you were a backyard astronaut. Where's the rest of your space suit? :)

Its around here somewhere or maybe Neil never brought it back after he borrowed it.

No fancy colours back in the day.
