I think they are absolutely right.

1) The BMW is faster than the base or S in a straight line (stock to stock) (except for the R due to its stock 41T)

2) The Pani is quicker in the corners and turns

3) The Pani is sexier

Both are exceptionally well performing bikes if you are fortunate to have both like Mark that's awesome!

I haven't opened the link. To be honest the reason is I don't care. For me it's pride of ownership that guides my motorcycle purchases. Pretty much always has been. I know that any decent bike out there has more capabilities than I have talent to exploit, so it comes down to which is going to make my heart beat a little faster when I walk into my garage. Who's dick is bigger doesn't interest me. Duke's are bit like Harley's with regards to you buy into a life style kind of thing with them.

I used to ride with a guy who'd pull up and recite chapter and verse of how he'd just read this was better than that, this was 0.89 seconds a lap faster than that, like he'd put all the latest mags into a blender with his morning orange juice and drank them all down. Then we'd head off for spin, him on his latest Bimota or what ever and have lads on beat up buckets of ..... blow him into the weeds.;)

I guess what I'm saying is do what ever floats your boat, its your buck, I just don't have any interest in playing that particular game. :rolleyes:

The Panigale blows the wind up my skirt in every respect, ....... love it, it'll stay where it is until something else turns my head... more than likely another Duke.......:D

Well, there's probably a big difference that TJ from Riders Discount posted the for sale ad, TJ is respected everywhere with the great deals on parts and gear he gives out. But given so, I'm sure BMW owners are probably less stuck up then us Ducati owners :p
 
read the posts nobody was bashing anything. actually they like the pani except for the one drone. like here but there are many more drones.

ok, so you like that bike better and that forum better so why torture yourself over here and with that POS Pani? Sell it and stick to the BMW forum and I bet you'll be happy as a clam! We'll send WhitePani over as well unless he needs to buy several more Panigales to finally decide they won't work for him. He's kinda like the kid that needs to touch the stove several times to see if it's hot or not.

who said i was selling anything. even if i did i wouldnt leave i have many friends here. where did i say i like anything better over there? i never rode the hp4 how do i know what bike i like better? et tu capt? I am on the bmw forum to educate myself on that bike and i saw that post and they had nothing but good things to say about the pani.

did anyone read the posts jeez.

something in the water here in ducati land?

I did and I rather enjoyed that they were talking up the Pani on a BMW site. Be nice to see more of that here.

i liked their comments.

they are far better than what the guy i ride with occasionally says. S1kRR rider who works at BMW. i let him ride mine and he couldn't get his grin off the face. he's silent ever since. ;)

mark is alright. stoner is his friend ;)

lol..just giving you a hard time dude. I waffled over the decision to flip over to the dark side myself after spending a couple days on the BMW at CSS over the summer. I still may do it at some point, but have decided to stay with "ole leaky" for the time being. :)
 
I frequent the S1000RR forum often. Seems like a good group over there, but I like our group here as well ;)
