What cars do white people drive ?

Whatever they like.

And I personally couldn't care less either.

I just don't want to hear them bitching about their problems and being hyper critical to people on the internet who can't help them, when they should be dealing with it constructively on their end.
Hell, some people buy HSV's and FPV's then complain that they only get 20- 27 000 kms out of a set of tyres.
What do they want??
Really:D

NO idea what made me think this while reading this thread....but I just realized, in relation to originating countries...I have a German, Jap, and Italian sitting in my garage. Maybe I should go buy a Harley, I kind of feel unrepresented....

But then again...I take the German, Jap, and Italian out for rides and punish the .... out of them...Thats kind of American :)

Quite the Axis garage.

Not trying to start a war here (or anywhere else for that matter).

They can be stuck up alright, just like anybody else. Some times even worse because they think they've made it in life with their aspirational brand B M W. They've just changed their old (leased) 5 series for a new 7 series and also packaged up a 1 series into the (lease) for the eldest boy's first car.
That's how good the cars are. They're not even worth owning. Lol.
All so the legitimate wage earner/tax payer on a low income can subsidise their life style while they look down their noses at anybody (including even family members) they perceive to be of "lower" class.
The prolitariate (or prols) if you were. IMO it's awfull.

They also can be pretty useless in that they often can't change a tyre or check the oil fill/top up their washer bottle (even with water)etc.
In the main they're lost without BMW roadside assistance (which is better than any other by the way) and runflat tyres.

They also think the park assist proximity sensors are infalable so they don't need to be as vigilant when parking because the car will tell them when they need to stop. You should see the incredulous looks on their faces when they eventually run into something (even at the front of the car).
Then they're running to the dealer complaining that the car's got something wrong with it because they ran into a post (or worse still, IMO a "real" or collector car) in the car park, and they're pissed off that their insurance is going to sting them for an excess (and it's not right or justified:mad:).
Talk about diminished responsibility.

Don't get me started on the BMW bike owner, who is adamant that the TPM is an absolutely accurate measuring devise, for determining the correct operational tyre pressure.
Because it's a BMW:rolleyes: and it's not necessary to regularly check tyre pressures.
Then when one tries to council them (in the nicest possible way) on the reality of the situation.
You get this look that you're either incompetent or you don't understand.
That it's actually a BMW:( And you better get your facts right in future. Boy.

I know people who work and who have worked in "prestige" vehicle sales.
Some of the stories are incredulous.
BMW owners are reputed to be more prone to delusion, with an over inflated sense of entitlement.

Don't get me wrong it's just that I think there's a difference between the BMW and DUCATI crowd.
That is the DUCATI crowd "can be" a bit stuck up but not generally.
And the BMW crowd "can be" more inclined to be elitest but not as a rule.

Just like during the war.
The Americans were very good at area bombing precision targets, and the British were very good at precision bombing area targets.

That the end of my rant for the day:)

I don't make generalizations often, but when I do I make sure they're sweeping and lengthy.

I'm referring to an elitest attitude.

This is because BMW is regarded by some (mostly consumers) to be "a prestige brand".

In the auto industry, BMW are widely "understood" to be an "aspirational brand";)
Or in other words, a brand for try-hards:(

In Germany, they're just like Mercs in that they're just a local car manufacturer with plants all over the world. Although there's a great deal of chest puffing and pride associated with the brands among the natives.
.... the box heads even get woodies over Metzler tyres for bikes.

In the UK BMW's are regarded as a car for dark skinned (black) people, or even cocks depending on who you talk to:eek:
If you were living in Australia, we would be talking about Holdens and Fords.
Maybe I do make generalizations often, and when I do I infuse some prejudice and a tinge of racism.

this thread is going downhill fast.......

If we're going to derail a thread I prefer pictures of ....ies.......

Wow! There is some serious BMW bashing on this thread!! Considering that it started with a link where BMW owners were praising the Pani, myself included.

Wow!! Where the biker family love? Why can't we all get along? ;)
