Hey Rich at AR....

While I don't have an AR for the 1199, I do have one on my zx10r and if that is any indication of quality and customer service I would buy the AR pani exhaust in a heartbeat. Rich is an awesome person to deal with. I ordered my exhaust here in the states and received it sooner than most places that ship within the country. Communication and quality were better than any other vendor period. Rich and AR make an awesome product. Just buy the damn thing if you want it rather than tire kicking the poor guy.

Awesome! Thank you for posting those. One other issue: The RB looks like it makes a big difference, but a couple people have had less favorable results. Any idea what may be going on there? Bad unit, maybe older maps etc? Are you constantly updating the mapping with new units going out perhaps? Thanks again for the graphs:D

The Rapidbike does work very well but i agree it seems to be very susceptible to conditions country to country and dyno to dyno. Not sure why that is.

We are constantly updating maps and always offer these updates for owners to test.

Perhaps tuneboy is an option, we are talking to Wayne to see what can be arranged.

With these graphs i tried to pull a cross section to give a fair and good indication of the average we see bike to bike, we have tested and fitted to many more bikes. The bikes pretty much always seem to show consistent results even down to exact same lines and figures which does show that the Panigale is built with a good amount of consistency.

Rich, is the unit you normally use fuel mapping only or ignition timing as well?

I have a full Termi, but want to throw a Bazzaz (no ignition timing) on there with the AFM as I have had good results in the past on other bikes. With this bike especially, I imagine it will yield good results.

That is way over we have ever seen from a stock bike. Our best stock bike was 177. Termi full system seems to put out ok peak numbers but low down it suffers.
Saying that, termi are now on the 4th full system spec to attempt to rectify things.
The SBK bikes run a completely different spec system.

We use both. Better results were gained with the race unit with slight ignition adjustments.

The Pani is just so time consuming to map that we run out of time bike to bike. It really is an awkward beast to set up.

I was not aware Bazzaz had a unit ready!

You see our fully open full system graph, we are still working to try and reproduce that massive midrange but with inserts to lower db levels. Tested a few things but not got there with it as yet....

won't inserts INCREASE HP and correct midrange hole via increased backpressure?

wouldn't further altering diameters through the length of pipe also improve HP? (and you can always narrow the widths near lower melting fairings ;) seriously!)

True, but for $320 vs nearly $1000 for the RB Race. I'll give up the tiny gains via ignition timing. With the AFM it makes it a snap, turn it on run, check results, and apply :D.

Rich... We can talk Dyno numbers all day and get no where..
My questions are these...

1. Both Woot and Waf seem to have suffered melted fairings.. Comments?
2. Both Woot and Waf agree this pipe needs a heat shield ..although you said you Inconel handles heat so well a shield was unnecessary.. Comments??

We are and have tested many ways to get to the midrange of the fully open system whilst retaining 2 inserts.
With 2 inserts the mid to peak power is very strong but the low mid suffers. The optimum size before the insert parts has been played with as has the overall length of the system. We have a few more things to test.

Worth noting that for me and others running this system 1 insert gives the best sound and power so we are not in a panic in the search for extra.

We found in our tests on the dyno and UK roads we did not require a heat shield which is why we did not offer 1 at the systems release.

In response to customer requests we are now in the process of releasing a carbon shield similar to others on the market. Ready in 2-3 weeks.

The melted fairing issue as seen with the stock, termi and our system was addressed via 2 updates supplied to all of our system owners.
It is a fact that clearances are tight and fairings sit very close.
We supply heat protective thermo tape to place on the stock fairing and pre apply it to our carbon belly cover.
We also supply a small bracket to push the fairing away from the side exit exhaust run. These mods have proven to work but it still depends on the end user carefully fitting the system with the clearances as instructions.
We will continue to offer any further updates for any heat issues.

Fair enough..

What is AR's policy with regards to Woots situation in particular?? Is he on his own re the Fairing damage?? Are you saying this is a fitment by his tech issue??

Im not sure as he has not contacted us personally to take a look at the burn or if the updates were fitted.
