A Mac is like a square; not all PCs are Macs but all Macs are PC's. Do they even label them as Macintosh's anymore?

(Personal Computer)

:D

The last Macintosh I owned was a LCII.

I love my Mac, it saves me countless hours its so fast efficient and logical (as Spock would say).

He's helped me with my issue quite nicely :D

Awesome

Rich ... You made this comment previously..

"In these tests we found that if you run the system simply bolted on without any remapping it gives you around 8-10 bhp over stock and the AF graph is within safe running parameters.
Adding the Rapidbike makes a massive difference but is not essential and can be added at a later date if budget is a problem."

Do you stand by this still??...

Nice how this thread has evolved. Thanks to Rich and a couple of forum members for working at keeping this civil.

Yes we have customers that prefer the system without any remapping. It gives a good bolt on power increase over stock and actually improves the fuelling.
I think woot runs this way or if not 1 member does.

Well..if memory serves woot tried the RB and found it ran poorly??

I have absolutey no idea how I was ever able to find, purchase, insure, maintain, upgrade, much less enjoy my last dozen or so motorcycles w/o a friggin' forum :)

Correct, it just didn't work out for him for whatever reason!

I'm calling it a night now but will be about tomorrow to help with any further questions.

Correct, I'm currently running straight bolt-on with no unit and current release of stock up-map from Ducati. Only slightly rich in mid range RPMs but nothing to get too worked up about. You have to really pay attention to feel it. I think I'm gonna give Wayne at Tuneboy some time to put together some more maps. The weather conditions in Australia might be close enough to midwest humidity that I can use their maps to test and then get it tuned from there.

So are you feeling that extra HP??? Bike running well??

How did we ever function before the Internet???

You know it's definitely a learning experience for me. With the 1199 I've done more modifications to it than any other bike I've owned. I've never done any tuning so I'm learning more as I go and I get to know the bike in a different way than just cosmetic. I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Does the Tuneboy map just get loaded like any ECU update from Ducati?

Well, the thing is I also did a complete drivetrain change and went up to the 41T sprocket in the rear at the same time. Which really clears the low to mid range acceleration. I mean this thing pulls throughout when I pin it wide open. I don't have anything to compare it to other than when I had complete stock set up. But it's definitely waaayyyy different now compared to what I felt last season. Very responsive and it still jerks you back in your seat when you hit 8K+RPM.

There isn't a decent dyno place in my area. I'd have to go at least 4-4 1/2 hours in either direction to find one. Wayne said there is a Tuneboy dyno tech in Minneapolis so I'm thinking I may pay them a visit later this season.
