Hello everybody,

I'm interested on this helmet. Does anyone have one and how much do you like it? I have an Arai Corsair and I'm afraid to take a step back. What I really hate about the Arai is the shield remove mechanism, not very well engineered in IMHO.

Thanks for the reply

Step back from arai? are you serious? I know they make great helmets no dispute there but do you really think any of the other top of the line cheaper helmets are not as good? i paid 330 for a full carbon bell star and i assure you its on par with any helmet at any price. my suomy (same shield release as arai but the ones for this year have a better release) is far and away a better helmet for me than my arai was. to spend 900 bucks on a helmet is insane. there is no way arai is 400 dollars better then suomy shoei or bell.
Great marketing campaign has you fooled. I recently added a headset to my helmets i took them apart fully. Same Styrofoam in all of them lol. i guess 900 Styrofoam is better than 400 foam.
I guess what i am trying to say is you wont be taking a step back. Just my opinion.

Hi Scorpio, I have a rpha 10 for a little over a year now so I think I can help you. Lets start with the good things. The helmet has pretty good air flow. Unless it is smoking hot outside you will be able to feel a slight breeze over your head. The visor has multiple positions among others the slightly open one which is great for riding around town in summer. It has a double D buckle and the straps are pretty comfy. It also comes with a slightly tinted visor which is a nice addition. Now for the bad. The helmet is quite loud, but it is after all a racing helmet so it is to be expected. The two wents on the front that are covered with mesh can not be closed so in colder weather that can blow cool air into your face. The biggest problem I had with my helmet however is the pinlock. The fit to the visor is not perfect so the middle of the pinlock makes contact with the visor. And if you know how pinlock works. it is pretty obvious that it will not work like this. I had to find out the hard way when I was riding home in rain. At first I thought the visor was dirty so I tried to wipe it clean only to find that it had fogged up. So if you are riding in warm weather and will not need the pinlock that the helmet is quite nice. If you ride in changing weather like I do than I can not recommend this helmet.
