Oh shoot, the media said that I had a DUI in the past. I have never had an alcohol related charge ever in my life. I can't believe something like that can actually legally be said when it's completely erroneous. That is crazy to me, but what's done is done. Here is a picture of me after all of the fluids were drained and my stomach/rib cage still wide open. I've almost got a six pack again after my abs were completely severed. LOTS of training for that lol.

Glad you are recovering Art and you are still among us.. Keep healing and take the ....... down..

Sounds like your injuries are horrific . Thanks for sharing and hope you recovery goes well .

The Doctors said the first night (to my parents and friends) to write down the last things they wanted to say to me because i had only a few hours to live. After i made it theough the first night, the doctors were stunned. However, if i was to make it, they said i would have massive brain damage due to the fact that i was at 50-60% oxygen when i was supposed to be at 97-99%. Well, i woke up after a 2 week coma! This was originally medically induced but then they couldn't get me out. Well i came out and to my family's amazement, i knew who everyone was! I couldn't really talk because of the trach. But they knew. It was very emotional for everyone. I spent a month in Shands jax, then a month in Brooks rehab. I had to re-learn to eat, drink, walk etc etc. i even had to learn to talk again! because of the abdominal situation, sitting up was impossible for 4-5 months. It was terrible. Currently, I'm back in the gym, working (got a big promotion!), and am almost voluntarily weaned off the Oxy. From 240mg a day to 40. Its been a tough road but I'm here...and its great. I love life! Thank you all so very much for all of your support and concern!!!

Welcome back! Very glad to hear you are doing well and staying positive.

so happy to hear you are on the road to recovery. seems like barring it all your keeping positive that's so fantastic. we're here for ya bud!

Thanks so much man! I cant believe the support level from people I don't even know personally...thank you! Ive made a few toasts at dinners/events for milestones in my recovery, and like i mentioned in the toasts, there is absolutely no way i would be in such good spirits without the relentless support of my family and friends.

WOW!!! great to see this recovery path and that things are getting relatively normal for you...

cheers, keep the good work up.

Great strength you have shown! And a little luck too!

So happy to see you doing better everyday and beating the negative reports and forecasts too!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and back on a Ducati when you are better!

Thank you all so much again. just the mere fact that so many people i don't even personally know. i think i said it before but its extremely flattering. thank you all so much. recovery is going pretty good! i'm back in the gym, running, lifting etc...i'm down from 240mg a day of Oxycontin to 40mg a day. i'll be on 30mg next week. everything is going great minus the paralysis of my right arm/shoulder/hand and the legal mess (which i cant talk about in any detail). BUT, i'm here and breathing! still able to enjoy my family and great friends, and the occasional company of a nice lookin' young lady, so i'm doing alright! ya'll please be safe out there! somebody walk one out for me! i miss it so bad!
