My 2015 1299 panigale S
runs around 205-220 in the city, I cannot ride it for long because it burns my inner thighs through my riding jeans. Shorts are absolutely out of the question. Any advice would be much appreciated. I live in Eagle Pass TX located in the southern portion of the state right on the border with Mexico. IMG_6136.jpg

um, don't wear shorts or jeans? seriously, i know it's summer and it's hot but you really should wear appropriate protection and as such, you'll be protected from the excessive heat as well.

I just cruise around like this...

Otherwise, check your seating position, legs should be closer to the tank, still hot, but won't be burning you

Have to weather leather or the composite mesh with inner high temp full length "˜underwear'. Actually keeps you cooler. But yeah you have to ride knees out at times it's crazy

More layers, and get that thing out of the city. I have 19k miles on my panigale, and I wear long underwear, sweatpants, and then riding jeans. I wear these layers even if it's 90 plus outside. The side benefit of the layers is that imo, it makes the seat more comfortable for longer rides too.

Good lord...I will just lay back on my couch in the a/c, close my eyes and imagine I'm riding before doing all that

I just posted a video to fix this. In addition to the fan switch, you can buy carbon heat shields that cover the rear subframe-to-vertical cylinder attachment area that's burning your thighs.

Brentunning - Thank me later, my bike doesnt go over 195 anymore unless im booking it 170+, first gear bog? non existent . they really made the bike a beast meanwhile making it so much of a practical bike.

I don't wear shorts while riding , however that was suggested to me by local riders, I'm one of two Ducati riders in town. I purchased some riding jeans at cycle gear, this is my third Ducati that I own and it's the only one that burns my inner thighs. Weather here is 106*F at the moment.

I believe it's the aluminum Frame which is burning me, my crotch area is usually flush with the tank when riding.

Try these covers to separate your inner thighs from touching the hot aluminium side sub frame. I bought mine from Conquest Carbon in the UK but they don't stock them anymore.

I think these shorten versions may work also but I haven't tried them...

Thank you, that's awesome he help I was looking for, even on my long rides, it gets hot enough that I get burned, I wear protective jeans.
