How many 2012 Panigale's Exist?

Ducati Forum

Took delivery of mine in April, two weeks before Easter and it's 777. It was one of the very first bikes on the road in the UK.

I'm not sure there's much correlation between the age of a bike and it's VIN.

Is this info from Ducati NA ?

it seems odd since they were offering deals and low interest rates already to get rid of Standard NON-ABS models

this is very surprising

makes perfect sense,

Standard - cheapest one sells the most,
Tri - top of line variant for all the big spenders
S ABS - if you are forking $25k for the S, get the ABS as well.
S - some Ohlins bling,
Standard ABS - probably most practical, get all the performance + safety, but buying a Ducati superbike is nothing practical.

Ducati only made a very limited number of 1199s. One of them is sitting in my garage. All the others are replicas made by some company called Audi.

So far this year, Ducati has sold 7,500 Panigale worldwide, which has accounted for 17% of overall sales for this year.

Nice, so 1 of 7500. Surely we could keep digging for a model breadkdown!

Thanks!

Cool... I have a rare bike then.lol.. Ironic when you think people who buy Tricolores maybe thinking they are getting a limited edition bike...[/QUOTE
Tri will be produced until mid 2013 and that's it

i would venture to say we are very close to the first 5000 batch of panigales sold. I got mine in October 2012, number 3607, so assuming the first panis were sold in October 2011 and taking a 12 month trailing total, we are probably around 4300 units sold as of now.

Did not get released till November 2011 so none sold in Oct. Mine came in May 2012.

The Ducati 1199 Panigale may have cast aside much of what was traditionally considered de rigeur for the Bologna brand but it hasn't exactly impeded sales.
Ducati reports they have sold over 7,500 Panigales, despite initial commentator fears that the failure of the monocoque chassis concept in MotoGP may have rubbed off on the V-twin Superbike.
Despite a motorcycle market in downward trend, the 1199 Panigale has performed as well in the showroom as it has on the road and track, with a total of over 7,500 motorcycles sold during 2012.

I think on the Audi built 1199, you can check oil level without the "knee elbow face" on the ground routine

Which certainly means they are replicas as a real Ducati would require the owner to bow in it's presence before checking the oil.
