Hey guys.

A friend of a friend is selling a tracked 2013 1199R. It has been tracked it's whole 3000 mile life.

What's a good price to buy the bike for?

What concerns should I have in buying it?

It is in great cosmetic condition. I am concerned about the engine/clutch/internals.

Thank you.

We need more information.

Etc...

Pics would help a ton also.

I have heard a rumour that Ti conrods are actually quite vulnerable. I plan to install Carillos. They are as tough as .....

I'd take Ti Pankle rods all day over Carrillos, Carrrillos are good but heavy so they significantly increase the forces on the crank, cases & bearings so you would consider reducing max rpm's for longevity

If they changed oil very frequent which I presume if this guy tracked it then go for it.... I seen more bikes destroyed in the street then track so doesn't have that much relevance .... ducati made a Track bike to last a while under right circumstances

Honestly someone offered me 29,000 I said NO becuz I LOVE my bike ... but you have to give us a number to play with here... I have alot of upgrades

Just throwing a number around if its bone "stock" But has the termi on it, from what Ive seen for similar bikes actually sell for on ebay/dealerships I wouldn't pay a buck over $22,000/23,000max.

You may want to ask some members that are racing their bikes when they are refreshing their motors. I don't know much about this in regards to an 1199r, but after 3,000 race or track miles on some bikes you need to start worrying about rods etc.

3000 track miles is a lot.

A replacement engine for and r is as much as the bike is worth.

If i did get it id have the motor gone thru. Be worth a couple k to make sure its solid.

Or get the extended warranty even better option. Make sure it was never raced.

Just my 2 cents.
