Hi,

Just wondered what you guys over the Pond were paying for a Panigale S (ABS) on your side of the pond?

It's £19750 over here in the UK ($31813.79 at todays exchange rate)

base ABS:19k plus stealer-fee and sales tax. means $19,450.00 in south kakerlaky.
we do not convert into foreign currencies here, because no foreign bank will take the dollars. and we earn dollars here, so we have to pay with them :D

Wow that's cheap our base model with ABS is £16145 ($26006.77) that's £4070.33 ($6556.77) cheaper to buy in the USA than it is here in the UK!

I guess we are getting ripped of over here from the main stealers! Trouble is they do not do any deals or discounts over here...Ducati UK will not let them discount.

cheap is relative, but yes, the numbers are lower. as elsewhere in the world, the market dictates the price.

i guess you could import one, pay freight, tax and customs, (adapt the lights? probably not, / symmetric) get the proper ECU, and of course switch it to right hand steering ;) i am not sure if there will be such a big difference remaining...

Yes I suppose so Phil, but we are closer to Bologna therefore less shipping costs than you, so how does that work?

Anyway, I can't believe you guys have your throttle twist grips on the right hand side on the handlebars over there too! You guys drive on the wrong side of the road!!:D

Forgot to say; how is South Carolina these days Phil? Might be doing a trip up to Charlotte for a few days over the Xmas Holidays, visiting friends in Georgia and they said it was a nice place to visit, either that or Savannah (which I went to last year).

my personal favorite is Charleston. but not on a bike.

I think Ducati could have sold the Pani for higher prices here too, as the usual clientele would still pay it.

I disagree on higher price. Any higher & I would NOT have bought it. They're nice, but there's a limit....

well, as you write it and i think about it, the little government might have brought up a veto in my case.

what i meant was the 19k (23k in your case) are already at a certain level, where the usual riding joe won't consider spending, or am i wrong?

whatever. money well spent anyway :D

The Panigale 1199s price

Over here in the US I got my bike for $22,995. I have the 1199s non-ABS, but the ABS model is just $1000 more than the one i have.
