How to I make pics smaller so I can put them in the forum ?

I knew how to do it in the old forum but every time I try to put a pic in it says it is too large. What is the size limit and is there an easy way to make pics smaller. I usually take them on my iPhone 7

I could not do this either, Note10. Now I link my Instagram and the pix show up in the post. Get hi-res pix in your post good enough to see carbon weave. Otherwise it has to be under 1.0mb.

When you are uploading the pics you can chose the size of the pic that you want to upload

So I have tried several different ways. Using attache files box or the little "insert image" icon in the header of the message. At no point is there in any method I have tried to select a file size. Is there a step I am not seeing.

I ran into this the other day. I basically take the photo using my I phone. I then email the photo to my email address. When I go to send it is asks me what size to send it in. I chose medium. Then I open it on my laptop save the photo to my pictures on my computer. From there I can upload them to the board by simply clicking on the photo icon in the bar.

Thanks mate. I see how it looks to you but unfortunately I do not get that message that you have at the bottom. Perhaps it is dependant of OS or browser. I am on an Apple and using Safari as the browser. Thanks for taking the time to show that. I may try the system that B Topp is using.

To load an image I had to take a screenshot of the image, enlarge it and leave a border, check the file size, then if the image is 1.0mb or under it will load. Result was a grainy image. Now, I load all my pix to my Instagram account, then i link the image in the post and I get Full HD hi-res pix for all to enjoy.
