Thanks for detailed explanation and installation instructions Vicious! Although your instructions for HIGH beams install, it is still great a guide.
I used your guide to install two (2) low beam DDM Tuning HID 35W 6000 H11 kits on my Panigale 1299. As I was replacing only 2 LOW BEAM lights, I was able to install it without removing headlight fairing assembly. Here are my Pani 1299 installation steps for HID low beams kit if anyone interested.
1. Remove IGNITION KEY PLASTIC COVER (4 screws). Remember which screws go where.
2. Remove left and right side fairings (see Vicious pictures 1-6). Remember which screws go where.
3. Remove top plastic cover on each side, refer to Vicious pictures #6)
4. Unplug existing two (2) H11 bulbs from each side
5. VERY carefully insert and secure 2 new HID light bulbs on each side. DO NOT TOUCH HID bulbs! Make sure they are secure.
6. Connect both HID kits. Make sure all connections are proper and secure.
7. Double check all connections once again.
8. Start the bike, both low beam lights should be on and working.
If lights are not working, double check your connections again. Make sure kits are properly plugged in.
9. At this point, both low beam HID kits should be working, and now you need to figure out the way to mount and hide ballast. To hide ballast on the LEFT side of the bike, I drilled 4 holes in side plastic, and used wire tighteners to secure ballast to the bike, then secured wires running to the left HID lightbulb.
10. Hiding ballast on the right side of the bike is more complicated, Panigales are complex racing machines, thus spare space limited. I drilled 6 small holes in plastic panel covering engine, and secured ballast there with 3 plastic wire tighteners.
11. Re-install plastic panels in the same sequence as they were removed, hide HID wires behind plastic panels.
12. Mount left and right fairings.
13. Install ignition key plastic cover.
All done!
