Ok, I suppose it's time to update everyone.....
Obviously I have not been able to figure out what is wrong with this thing. As disappointed as I am with that, I am going to be taking the rest of the season to work on skill and suspension setup on my 899. I'm going to put track fairings on the 899, put some of the high dollar items (exhaust, forks, wheels) on the 899 and then sell some of the other parts.
I'm going to keep the engine and all electronics. This winter I'll be sending it to be rebuilt and refreshed. I'll also get a brand new race wiring harness from Bike Sport Developments this winter. The plan is to have the PROPER parts to install the 1199 engine, ECU wiring and any other associated equipment into my 899 by the end of this winter.
I really just want to be out on the track and right now the 899 is perfect for that. So I'll be tossing a set of track fairings on the 899, pulling the ohlins forks and wheels off the race bike and putting them on the 899, and then just enjoying the hell out of it.
So, this thread won't be dead necessarily as I'll try to update it when I start getting the PROPER parts together and begin assembling the Beast v2.0.
And yes, before anyone asks, this is absolutely the plan moving forward. I know I tossed around the idea of parting it out completely before, but this just makes more sense right now. A few parts are available to purchase if anyone is interested and I'll be making a post in the classifieds tonight.
