Apparently you guys are unfamiliar with the concept of a DRAG RACING MOTORCYCLE. I've heard the NHRA might even have a class for them entitled "Pro Stock Motorcycle". I guess if it's not like yours it must suck. If a bike doesn't have a Termi exhaust (lame) and isn't coated with enough carbon "bling" (VERY lame) to choke a whale it's crap. Gotcha.
"Let the hate flow through you"
VERY lame "bling" factor aside, if you EVER get involved in drag racing I would highly recommend you investigate the advantages offered by dry carbon fiber. Apparently, it has an excellent strength to weight ratio which could be of help to you in your quest to save 10ths here and there on your sub 9 sec passes. Plus if you don't mind the extra weight, it can even be painted! Although I think paint can sometimes add a certain amount of vulgar "bling", so how about no fairings to save on weight and "bling"?!! Hey, if ground clearance isn't an issue, why should aerodynamics be? As long as it looks cool!
Once you have earnestly BEGUN "living your life a quarter mile at a time" you will likely want to invest in something to transport your bike to and from the local strip. The bike you posted would probably not be able to make it anywhere safely unless you happen to live and commute on an airstrip. Now wouldn't that be convenient? Move to an airstrip! Then you wouldn't need a truck and trailer plus it would be one hell of an argument for having that bike as your daily driver. Win/Win.
Since you are NOW starting to get serious about your drag racing future you should probably consider adding a wheelie bar, otherwise it just screams poseur to the people in the know (
). Plus NHRA uses them, so instant cool points right there!!
One thing still confuses me though. So if I like 1199's with CF but I also like drag racing bikes, just maybe not the SAME ones YOU do, does that mean that my view is only HALF valid according to you? Which half?
