Hey guys,

I know there is a lot of information on here about this, It just time consuming to review it all. Im looking at different options to my 1199 w/full Akra exhaust.

I see there is Power Commender, Rapid Bike, Rexxit, Tuneboy, etc. Whats you using and why? I'm leaning towards Tuneboy as of right now.

Ant input would be greatly appreciated :))

Can you give you more feedback after tomorrow, but right now i would say rapidbike..

Went with the upmaps, Rexxer flash & now on rapidbike to get that fueling which i demand.

Personally did not want to add on anything when the ecu can be flashed, but if it cant be flashed on the dyno while being tuned i am going to pass.

If you have someone that is familiar with tuning Tuneboy or Woolich on the dyno for you I'd go that way since you're out of warranty. If not, definitely the Rapidbike.

I use tune boy, It can be tuned on a dyno, and you can return to stock if you need. 3 map selection and 3 throttle curves. No hardware to install, It has the ability to connect widebands directly so you can use the auto tune function in the dyno. Rexxer is also flash based but I don't know about end user adjust-ability.

Rapidbike, powercommander, are interceptor style boxes that do not alter ECU programming. They just adjust the signals to get the ECU to deliver the fuel demanded. They install in the main harness between the harness and ECU.

I was a Car and Light truck mechanic for several years and had more than enough customers coming in with interceptor style tuning (edge etc..) with erratic drive-ability issues. It always ended up being the quality of the pins and connectors used to make the interceptor tuning devices, poor connections over time. For this reason I have always stayed away from anything except flash capability.

I have no experience with the quality of Rapidbike, just my experiences with other big name manufacturers. I decided not to risk it, and finding a place to mount it looks like a pain.

I have also been looking at different ECU tuning option this winter. I need a map to my full Termignoni system (not yet installed) but would not like additional hardware as e.g. Rapidbike modulee. In addition to above mentioned options I have also been discussing with a tuner (I have earlier used to flash my RSV4 ECU) and understood that they are now working on maps for Panigale also. To my understanding improved maps based on Racing Evo map. Probably something similar to what BrenTuning offers here in the site sponsor section. I think that would be the route I will go.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, I, thinking im going to use Tuneboy, it seems pretty nice that there is not a "box" that you need to install. I like the idea of plugging into the tail and having the option of selecting 3 different maps as needed.

I know I need to do something soon as she is running may to lean right now.

Thanks again...
