Inertia sensor errors when wheelying!

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I get the same error behavior on the track, and it usually occurs after having the front off the ground for a ways, which is really, really easy with 97 ft-lb of torque on the 1299.

I've posted on here before, if this occurs when in the "dynamic" mode, it seems to dump your damping settings to somewhere unknown. This is why I insist on running fixed settings, since I can keep riding through the error without a problem. I haven't notice any problems with wheelie control or traction control once the error has come in.

Hmm, is this on all of them (as far as you know)? Meaning is it some kind of software issue? Is Ducati aware of it and do you know if there is a patch/fix?

I plan on initially racing with mine in Dynamic mode to try it out. But I don't want to do that if every time the front wheel comes up, I lose all of the suspension settings.

I've been doing same speed wheelies on mine and not noticed anything... my 14 R1 did that sometimes when wheelying for distance, all the electronics would start flashing and going crazy!

To confirm I am in dynamic mode and yes you lose DES.

It appears to be completely random and occurs in both sport and Race modes.
I have found fixed works better when riding at race pace on track (tried both).
As I dont use fixed on the road I can't tell you if it happens in this mode.
Have got it on video showing this happening but a bit wary of uploading it anywhere, unless I can go to my local test track and repeat it! ;)
