It'll be impossible to compare unless we know what coverages, deductible, etc...

I would never pay that high rate w geico and having a clean record. Been with them since the mid 80s and they quote me $1700/yr? No way, i went with st farm for $48 month on my S.

Yeah I know.....cheapest I found. Could be because of my area and/or credit. Dunno. Gonna reevaluate when I have to renew.....blah

State Farm quoted me ~$106/mo.

$100 deductible
high uninsured motorist and liability
no accidents in 6+ years
no tickets (on the record) in 6 years
older than 35
Generic Panigale quote (no specifics yet since just a rough quote)

will play as well

Future 1199r
5900 a year dairy land for liability state farm for collision
nyc
no accidents 5 speeding tickets with lawyer not guilty yet
1 ticket unlicensed driver screwin me up rolls off June
25 years old last week
1000$ deductable

It's frustrating how much cheaper you guys pay in the US compared to Canada.

I'm at the maximum discount level, got private insurance for comp + collision (cheaper than the government run option if you qualify) and it STILL cost $1900 for the year to insure my S. That's like 3 times what you guys are paying.

Agree, too many variables, but some of these sound really high. Maybe I am not carrying enough coverage.. :)

Geico - full coverage
1000 ded on comp/coll
No claims on my record
No tickets in the last 10 years
Almost 40 and married (you single guys, getting married drops bike insurance a LOT)
$600 per year

An interesting thing Ive noticed about Geico is that they dont differentiate between the Base and S. You just click "1199 Panigale" and thats it. No further trim differentiation.

Riders Insurance

I thought USAA dont do Motorcycle insurance anymore. USAA refers to progressive for that now when I checked.

Damn! How did you manage that? I just went to pull a quote from USAA and after seeing that they use Progressive for insurance (who is insane with their motorcycle insurance, boat...not so much) I went ahead and got a quote. Punched in my USAA # and filled it all out...$4,238 annually with similar coverage to what I have now.

You sir are correct, and they suck for motorcycles.

I'll never go a route other than state farm.

'00 600F4 being young and dumb at 17, lost it on a rolling burnout after a trip to Bike Week. Paid for anything with a scratch.

My Dad on his '00 929 came in too hot on a corner and went straight instead of turning. Fixed the bike, dealership found a crack in the steering head 10 months later and they totaled it. Paid him full retail and let him pull his parts off.

'04 1KRR got "bumped" in a parking lot. The only way I knew was I could see where the kickstand slid back. Got new rotors, a new front wheel since it had a scratch on it the adjuster spotted, kickstand, and front fender. Pretty sure the scratch on the wheel was from a tire change but he insisted.

'08 1KRR was stolen, paid it off at full retail.

So I'm 26/S/M with SF and was paying $71 a month for 500/500.

I noticed my card said 1198(S) and I asked about that, turns out I'm getting a refund for overpaying lol. The Panigale is cheaper to insure than a SuperSport, but it's a superbike?
