Ain’t rocket science:

Cold fi engine with compression, mixture around 12 molecules of air for every one of fuel, and a good spark will start right up when turned over

There’s nothing mechanically wrong with the engine or the ignition so why isn’t it starting when cold?

It’s either lean or fat and it’s prolly not fat

*the problem is that yer fairing is so fat the computer is leaning out the mixture to compensate : )

So? What you reckon I should do?

Why you laugh?

You can get it tune now but we both know you gonna end up doing the other stuff most of which requires different tune

Just do it : )

Just smiling bro, I appreciate your help

Remove all tje emissions crap get the bike tuned by someone local to you that has a good tuning software/dyno and it will startup instantly as well run fine without even warming it up.

Ok cool man thanks

I like how a guy with 19 posts is acting hard.

Chill bro. People are trying to help but you haven't given them a lot to go on. Posting a video of the starting issue you are having is a great place to start.

@Thorpanigale, Yes, I had the same issue with my '19 V4S. It started happening after the first service (i.e. 1,000 Km). I have used 98 (RON... am in Aus too) for 25 years in all my bikes, but I changed to 95 RON for this one, and never had the problem again (12,000Km on and a year later). I don't understand why... the higher octane is supposed to help prevent higher compression engines knocking. But that's what worked for me.

It sometimes took upto 5 minutes to get going, but would only happen ever 2nd or 3rd day.

Hope this helps...good luck.

I think that would be a great start to making amends for telling ppl to go .... themselves

Make pre/post tune vids...

That and changing the behavior : )

People should
Mind the own business if they got nothing productive and constructive to say, instead to waist everything time.
