Casually walked into my dealers showroom today to pay for some new leathers I'd bought and there was my bike, just arrived!

Excited now is to say the least!

Don't get it till Friday as there are still a few things to do, great thing is they said to bring down all the extras I'd accumulated since placing my deposit and they would fit them for free, Evotech tail tidy, carbon etc. They also recommended not installing my Termis until I run up 1000kms till first service which again they said they would fit for free, and no I haven't paid retail for anything.

Seriously pleased and have reinstalled my faith in motorcycle dealers for good, I think they'll have me as a customer for life

Sorry guys guess you're still waiting? But thanks for your comments anyway, I'll post pics from 'Middle Earth' once I've got it

Congrats Hamish ! That seems to make Wellywood the panigale capital of Middle earth then for a while... (2 for the moment).
ChCh should have 2 by end Sept I think.
Enjoy !
Pretty sure we'll need national Pani run somewhere by the end of the summer when there maybe 6-12 in the country...
Be sick as if we could everyone together for a weekend rally!:D:D

Thanks Pouakai, 11 sold from our local dealer. 3 arrived today, 2 S's and a tri. Wasn't a fan of the tri paint scheme but am now converted, looks amazing in the flesh!

Are you down in Chch?

11 - holy .... They've had a good time with this model huh ? That's going to take some topping round these parts. I haven't heard how Auckland sales are...
Yup Chch me, 2 coming here that I am aware of.

WOOT! Congratulations Hamish!!

I have former college mates who now live in Papatoetoe (South Auckland). I've been there a few times and loved the riding on the north end of North Island.

Looking forward to pictures of the riding on the south end of North Island now...

Tomorrows the day and the farthest I'll be able go is from my dealer to home (approx 2mins away) however I will have it home!

Wtf?

December last year..!

Holy smokes!! You guys are really getting dicked over there with these wait times! I cannot get over that Hamish. It is a great feeling though eh? Well congrats to ya "mate" and hammer that thing out there! Just a bit puzzled why they wanted you to wait until first service for slip ons? Hmm. Not sure of this logic but at least you know they are coming as fast as you can put 621 miles on it right?

Stay safe!

It's a warranty issue that Ducati have warned of apparently. They are worried that because of the extra noise it may give you extra incentive to 'over rev' it during the run in period. However as I thought it was a load of ....., pipes are now on!

Cheers

Got my first ride today, 60kms... My initial thoughts are yes the seat is hard but not unbearable, does get hot but should be ok in leathers.

Pipes went on in the end and man it sounds saaaweeeeet!!!

DQS is fun but did get some false nuetrals especially in the taller gears, spoke to my tech about it and he said that use the clutch for the first few hundred and try not to use the quick shift at low rpm which I guess makes sense.

Pegs are slippery as some posts have suggested

Handling is amazing!! Feels like a 600 to ride and you can turn in with so much confidence, unbelieveable really.

Low end power is pretty weak which is something Ducati have always been strong in, but I like it, so much easier for city riding and when you take a corner at speed you can roll on the power without worrying so much what the back end is going to do.

Overall I absolutley love it, glad I've got it, wouldn't change it for anything!!
