Well pulled the trigger on a new 1199s! Can't wait for the roads to dry up and some warmer weather to hit the north east. It was killing me that it's March 28th and I had to pick my bike up in the snow. My fiancé thought I spent too much time online searching the ins and outs of the bike before the purchase. Ha! Wait until the search for parts begins. Already ordered a zero gravity light smoke windscreen. The Christmas tree license plate holder was taken off as soon as I rolled it in the garage. I plan to make my own custom plate holder. I found a pair of super bright LED's to insert into the tail vents as signals. I'll post up some pics within a the week after the job gets done. Pics or it didn't happen..right?

Thanks guys, yes it is snow. There was a steady flurry all day long. Today is suppose to be 45 and next week in the 50's but with some rain. Which in a way I'm okay with. It will be perfect to wash the residual sand and gravel from the roads. Need to get 600 miles so I can get rid of the charcoal canister and add some termi's! After my dealer saw my 848, he knew that I was able to tackle a self install. Only think he asked was for me to wait until my 600 mi service, buy the term's from them which he will give me 20% off and just have his tech look it over. Oh boy its going to be a good sumer! I already can tell its going to be more enjoyable to ride than my 848. The tank doest jam your groin into your throat, but who ever buys an Italian sport bike for comfort ha!

Congrats!! you going to love it. My last track day I ran both front and back straights on an F1 track against 2 HP4s, one '14 S1000RR, a CBR 1000 which had the top end done by Honda Legends in the U.K., and a RSV4. Pulled all of them down both straights. I was always last out of the corners too. Makes me wonder how much better could they have made this thing...lol.

If it's slipons you're getting, should be kinda easy. Full system is not easy by any means but definitely doable. Be prepared to spend 4-6 hours.

Yes just slip-ons. I know its going to be a timely process but when accompanied by some good music and an ice cold brew(s). Very manageable.

Congratulations ! Where in New York?

Thanks guys!

Speedhaus I live right outside of Poughkeepsie. I see your from the metro area. Must be tough in that congestion. You ever stretch your legs upstate?? I know a lot of riders head up the Taconic pkwy and hit 301 and the goat path. Unless you do it early morning, I think its a nightmare. I like heading more upstate into Sharron CT. Some backroads up there have some gnarly curves. Plus, there is an awesome pond up there, I can fit a collapsable fishing pole in my pack to catch a few bass.

Congrats Poman! I just picked up an 1199 ABS myself on Thursday. Have put about 80 miles on her now.

Poughkeepsie... Small world... I have 2 Aunts and an Uncle in Middletown. When I come up to visit this summer, I will most likely have my Pani in the trailer with me. Maybe I'll see you on the road.

Can't wait to take her up to the Hawk's nest above the PA border with NY...

Poman, sorry for sitting on your bike. I was just there the other day bored with the weather. Can't mistake the Greco Tire sign in the window. We definitely have to meet up. I'm just down the road in Ridgefield.

So your the guy who scratched the tank... Just kidding. But no really, there were some scratches on the tank from people throwing a leg over this steed in the showroom. They threw in a carbon tank pad, which will cover most of them up. Ridgefield isn't too far, my future bro-inlaw and myself are always looking for new people to cruise with.
