Well I'm hoping its a new V4SL but I don't think they would have that completed till the end of the year or early new year. Maybe the naked Pikes V4 version?

I think it'll be a while before we get a V4SL - i'd guess the reveal at Laguna will be the Pikes Pike bike they have camouflaged on the Ducati site

Things I've noticed, gold mag wheels, the side fairing says Panigale - V4( looks like a R?), maybe the black upper monocoque frame from the V4R, looks like the gold old school lettering from 90's bikes on the lower faring, doesn't look like the V4R forks, it also has the rearsets, carbon swing arm guard and other bits the Speciale had.

My guess is that Ducati is releasing a new recall free version of the V4

HAHA! That's funny. Yep. My bet is on a new "special" V4 panigale. I have to believe it's got to be more than just the paint of the Speciale, Corse, Anniversario, etc. Feels like Ducati has played that formula out recently, but what do I know.

V4SL would be nice. I wouldn't put it past Ducati, but it is so soon after the V4R release.

Guys, this new special V4 is going to be a commemorative model of the 25th anniversary of the 916, which is this year.
Probably a paint job with gold mag wheels to mimic the early 916 race bikes.
Going to be exclusive and very small build numbers
That’s what I hear anyway.

yeah I'd pass on that..... Waiting for the V4SL or a V4 Naked bike that make the torque way down low like me 1290SD. If they don't get the V4 Naked to make the power down low I wouldn't be interested. Naked bikes need big TQ down low IMHO

Yup. My bet is on a 25th anniversary WSBK bike. I think the V4SL will be out in 2 years, after black and white are color options for the V4.

If it's V4R spec (minus the wings), I would be a straight up sucker for that. If they do the white slate with the #1 on the side and white number plates I would probably be unable to resist ordering it.

i cant wait for a V4SLR (thats one better than the SL)... I want to spend 90K on a bike, put 623 miles on it (just enough to get first service done) then be scared to ride it in fear of low side and costing 3 arms and a femur to fix...

That typically how most who own the 1299SL do, then sell for 20K less...

NOW if i had the money, no kids, and a huge garage with tons of space for all the toys i ever wanted... then it be on!

total misconception regarding SL owners i regularly see them at the track, if you go to cota there are usually in excess of 6 SL's at any given track day.

this is good to hear, when the V4R was released, i looked up to see about getting a 1299SL instead, and as recent at January of this year, i was able to find 38 of them for sale across the US with hardly any miles and with asking prices around 50-60k.

I am glad someone picked them up for the deal of a lifetime as they only made 500 world wide i believe, and are using them for what they were made for.

yea i have been surprised the price has remained as high with the SL but with the V4R with exhaust etc you are almost $50k into it so what's another $5k or so.

Remained as high? Original price was 80k usd... it's now selling for 50k with 17 miles on them. That is a big depreciation. 40% off is a steal. I am unsure I have seen a Ducati depreciate that much in the past.

An yes, the price is close now, which is crazy. But I opted for the V4R for other reason.

now you got me curious i really didn't think they had got that cheap.

thanks
