This year I am looking to get some forged light weight wheels for my 22 BASE V4.

Looking into OZ GASS, but want to hear if the experts have any other recommendations.

Not really looking into carbon wheels.

Let’s see those wheel set up pics.

I researched this a lot and went with CF anyway, but from some pretty in depth analysis I think the OZ Cativa’s are the best forged wheels on the market.

Lightest, great rigidness.

Can’t go around with the Machenesi Forge Kompe’s either.

Just don't buy Magnesium wheels, otherwise any OZ model is excellent

Depends how you use them but Mag wheels require regular cracks inspection

Starbucks riding is okay tho

no they don't!

Ive got two sets. Obviously you check your wheels no different to any other wheel well I do!

I grant you the refurbishment is/should be a more robust crack test then a coating/dip to prevent corrosion..but this guy does them in the uk and is superb.

I can recommend OZ GASS as I use them myself (and also sell them 😂). Here is a pic of the V4 I am just building for a customer.

I thought BSB teams do check them regularly with ultra sound machine?

KTM uses Magura on many bikes
Brembo is the standard globally as we all know
in WSBK and national championships you might se some galespeed/accossato/nissen

Correct. Not necessarily crack inspection but finish inspection. Any nick or scratch that exposes the metal is not good. Exposed mag corrodes very easily and this corrosion propagates quickly. Mag also doesn’t have the plastic deformation that aluminum and carbon possess. It’s a more rigid material but also more brittle. Great for race applications (bc it’s light and strong) where you have a limited lifespan. Most race teams use them for only a season bc there’s a reason.

That looks awesome! Those are the titanium looking ones… I’m definitely gonna get some and I’ve discounted CF so it’s either Marchesini RS alli or mag and maybe those ones! OZ gass. They look sick! I just want the best option for the money. I don’t mind spending more on Magnesium if it’s sooo much better but if it’s negligible then forged alloy it is…. Please help!!! 😊👍🏻👍🏻
