If Lorenzo didn’t win Mugello, the headlines would have been Lorenzo replaced by Petrucci since he cannot win on the Duc. Personally, I had a feeling that Ducati was going to drop him anyway because of this, and I think a lot of you guys had this feeling also. Lorenzo played it smart and signed with a factory team knowing in the back of his head that he could be dropped- a 3 time GP champion dropped for a satellite rider. In the meantime, he kept pushing and is able to win the race.
