Marzocchi Forks

Three weeks later, forks are busted again....sitting in the garage bench racing with a few buddies, we heard a hissing sound as if a tire went flat. Since there were several bikes and other equipment we didn't make much of it. Arrived at the track saturday morning my forks were again reduced to pogosticks:mad:
This time around there had been no tying down since I got the pitbull system in my trailor.

bummer man....hope you get it sorted soon..it happening twice is crazy...

Man that sucks...sorry to hear about your recurring issue, something sounds fishy with these set of forks, hopefully they will figure this out for you soon and permanently, keep us posted.

Appears that most of Italy is shut down for holidays....if my parts are B/O it'll go into september before they have me up and running.

My dealer has an unclaimed "S" in the showroom, starting to think about it....

Just coming back from my dealer's with yet another set of new forks. 4th time now, this is starting to get old. Service rep told me my bike was now at over 20k $ on warranty claims.

Have Ohlins internals on order, had they arrived I wouldn't have bothered with warranty.

Wow! All claims for the same issue....burst nitrogen bladders?

what's your lemon law like in Canada? in the us it is three failed repair attempts for the same failed part = lemon.

although most people think its a lemon if they have a couple unrelated nits. lol....

There is no actual nitrogen bladers in the forks. Mine were bad too, but I took them apart and ddisassembles the cartridge. I also did a dyno sweep of the adjustment. I posted pics of them apart on a thread here.

Don't think we have that. What would be the consequence to the dealer according to that law?

I saw your thread and unfortunately for me some of if was over my head. Why does Ducati claim the forks are "pressurised" and what is the sound the OP is hearing when his forks let go in the garage? Why does the dealer diagnose them as blown nitrogen bladders?

Thank you and I appreciate the tutelage. I also looked on the Marzocchi site and it was ambiguous as to how the forks worked.

Pitbull is a wise thing... NEVER compress forks, nor rearshocks when transported... its fine tech that demands TLC ... :)

should've picked up Ohlin FGRT forks instead of just NIX internals, there are no resell value in the cartridge. learn from my mistakes.

$2300 for Fork, direct replacement $0 installation, $1000 resell value, $1300 net cost
$1350 for cartridge, $150 installation, no resell value - $1500 net cost

In my experience resale value of installed upgrades is nearly zero....so I'd go for which ever is likely to perform best for the least initial outlay. Oh, and my installation costs are zero. ;)

FYI, you can get the insert or rear shock for 1125.

My Front Forks failed too. In the shop now being replaced under warranty. The bike bounced around like and old caddy. :(
