melting fairing and warranty

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I too have the melting fairing and it is being replaced under warranty. My dealer has just told me it is a 3-4 hour job as they have to drop the exhaust! Does this sound right?

I was hoping to wait around for the work to be done.

Thanks !

maybe EU got it before the U.S.

but it is there in your photos, only the white one on the website has it, the red one is the original photo and hasnt been upgraded yet.

I appreciate the photos

I picked up my bike on the 1st Sept 12, I was told it was the 2013 model, hence the 'cut out' in the fairing. I guess they are still using the old photo as you say! No problems with the photos, only too glad to help.

That does NOT sound right.

.... I ask how much to install everything if i buy it at the dealer they said 220, i asked how much if i buy it somewhere else they said 220. Why go through them?
Is anybody having the same problems?

Australia is even worst because of the shipping costs and the customs' pain.

Anyway I bought my carbon stuff in italy from here:

Home page

or on ebay: eBay: DUCATI

unfortunately they don't ship outside of the european union and you need to speak italian since there's no english verison of their website.

Bottom line I saved approximately $400-500 compared to the Australian stealership and I installed all the parts myself.

I just bought the rear stand here in OZ for $328  and they managed to give me a faulty one....hence I will not buy any other DP part here in OZ. I've already emailed ducati to let them know, no answer so they seem fine with after sales financial results.

The way to go is to go to italy or order from companies like Evotech that ship overseas and don't apply the VAT for overseas exports...

Regards

What is 'F mode' and what is 'P mode' . Sorry but this may seem a little off topic. I have not ran across those terms in the user manual but only on this forum.

thanx
