SATO Engine Sliders

Hey, ScrapperX, very nice on the ceramic coating. I just talked to them on the phone, and they sound like they're on their game.

QUESTION: Can you talk about the "frame" sliders sticking out near the generator/stator case AND the clutch cover?
What are they coming out of? Does Sato make both of them and what are they each called?

The Engine sliders are made by SATO Racing

I believe they are really good quality and very sturdy. I bought the standard without the suspension support bracket. I think it would make a difference if you did choose the one with the suspension support I will probably add the suspension support in the future. Another member here order it. It mounts to the engine and clutch assembly on the right side. On the left it mounts to the suspension and the engine. I was skeptical at first but when you mount it you can see why the engineers mount that way. I highly recommend it.

That is very nice and I look forward to seeing the bike posted when it is built.

IMHO, If i was building a bike out purely for track (which I am not), I would of gone for the FGR 900 Ohlin forks, Brembo T Rotors and the Brembo GP4-RR calipers (personal taste).

Just ordered them yesterday (with the suspension support). Thanks For confirming that that was the right choice.

Any suggestions on how to better protect the shock cylinders(the upper part of the suspension)?

want pics?

stripped in 1:15 minutes and this is where we stand at the end of day one..

Little comment :

the EVo pipes are put on in so far that we can now first install the oilpan before putting up the termi end cans.. the brake lines have now been measured and will be made to order. have to be sprecific as the abs system has some particularities as to banjo's...
waiting for the carbon parts of the tank and race suit should come in by next week to be painted..
then in 1 mad bash to the finish!

engine mapping and blueprint is scheduled for this summer as she will have 2K km by then..

That's awesome, do you do all the work yourself? I love wrenching on bikes/cars. I think too many people are afraid to tackle jobs that can be done on their own.

Keep it going.

i must be honest here and i m not the man with the wrench... if i could do this i d be mechanic with some top racing team... :) but what you say is true... having looked at it being done, i am under the impression that ducati have made it not easy for the home wrenchers on the panigale... was stripping it something that takes either experience or patience, putting it back together looks even more daunting...

Thanks for sharing the photos. Very impressive partial build out, looking forward to seeing more as your progress.

Those levers are very nice, may I suggest using Brembo 6mm clear tubing as they would really compliment the levers and provide much better resilience than the stock tubes.

I would be very interested in a detailed specification of all the brake lines, with particular emphasis on the ABS and how your reconfiguring them. Are you going to use quick-release connectors ?

Do you have a source for the fluid hoses?

is where i got them... quick and clean service!

as to the brake lines: as the clip ons have risers, as the Roby moto sits higher on the forks as they bend upwardly, and as the master sit wider/nearer the throttle, the need to be lengthened by 5 cm.. so a pair of tailor made ones will have te be made this week. for the rest there is nothing special about them i guess... we're pondering of the abs could give any bleeding issues but we don't think so.. i'll keep it posted should it have any specific complications...
